is this site relatively slow?

i have noticed this so many times that even when I m getting a flood of internet speed on my system (from the college connectivity, as they provide a sick speed generally) and i am able to open any site withing seconds... even then this particular sitw www.mylot.com is a relatively slower site. Is it with me only or with everybody? It takes more time to oepn and more time to load any data... why is it so?? is it intentionally so that we dont flood them with so much content every time or is there another logic for it... please explain...

I am not sure how I landed on this topic now. However it is not relevant nowadays. the speed of this site is ok now. In colleges they bar a few sites and that may be the reason.

same with me at my lot is also very slow opening I've tried my lot using public pc using broadband access 128 but still slow

On Wednesday I logged on to My Lot and it was so slow to load pages. I just couldn't believe it and found the experience quite frustrating. I only managed to respond to one discussion. I wondered if there was a problem with my laptop so I tried a few other sites and they were fine. I noticed that My Lot said at the bottom of the home page that it was updating numbers of My Lot members. Today My Lot is going fine for me at normal speed. Good luck.
