In Like A Lamb....Out Like A Lion?

United States

So which one happened in your area? Did March come in like a lamb or a lion? My area was in like a lamb. It has warmed up today and is nice and sunny. So I guess this means look out when it leaves huh? We have had a really hard, cold winter for our area. Either way I am glad to see Spring knocking on the door! I guess if this saying is true we'll be looking at a snow strom a the end of March! Wouldn't surprise me with as crazy as this weather has been. So which are you Lion or Lamb?

Eastern Shore area of Maryland got a light snow during the evening. I was at a bonfire when it started. It was amazing. I love snow and we haven't really had much here at all this year. The good news is there wasn't much ice either. I couldn't really say it was a lion though. The snow was semi-light, it laid on the ground but didn't really accumulate much, no winds and the temperature is decent for this time of year. Lamb weather here.

That's the way it was here. We actually had a little sleet late last night but nothing to what we have been having. It was pretty calem compared to the other big stromes we've had. I guess we better get ready for the end of march!

Oh please, I am okay with not having any big, bad storms hitting us this year :-) Although the weather channel is saying that we are in for a lot of fun tonight through tommorow. We'll see I guess! Keep your fingers crossed for us. I have an appointment to get my eyes checked tommorow and I really super need to get new glasses... If it's gonna do it, I hope it waits until I get home from that!!

Hopefully it does wait for you. A friend of mine lives in Alabama and she called this morning and I thought she hit the lottery or something. She finallly got a couple of inches of snow! LOL I'm glad to not see it and she's glad to see it! It's a pretty nasty system just a matter of whether you're in the line of fire or not! Thanks or the resposne

Lamb. Literally. The dogs have decided it's spring, cause they're shedding like there's no tomorrow. There might not be for one of them! It's still too cold to shave them, but he's losing hair all over MY house!!! (I hate this time of year...too frigging hairy for me!)

Being a former New Englander, now living in Oklahoma...the entire winter seems like a lamb to me. Other than cold temperatures, we've only had flurried once and some ice once. That's a far cry that one snow storm after another all winter like I was used to.

Yesterday was really hot in our area... suddenly. But today was a bit cooler yet still sunny... very nice. Yet, the forecast says it's going to be wet the rest of the week. It's like a lamb and lion fighting.

I know...this weather is very strange indeed. You never know what to expect next. Even the lion and lamb are confused!

What's a cross between a lion and a lamb? We had snow but and it was blustery, but it wasn't cold enough to stick. Not spring-like, but not exactly "heh, classic winter" either.

I think it's like a lion and I put on two sweaters inside my coat today! Actually it's been raining for more than two weeks and the tempreture is low, so it's wet and cold and I hardly have clothes to wear coz no sunshine can dry them up. Fortunately last weekend it's cloudy and the rain got us a break, whick made me and bf can spend some time outdoors. OMG! Some of the northern parts are having snow storms. Winter seems so long for me and it lingered and lingered. I even think of buying some thick coats becasue I think mine are not warm enough, in March!

it's actually both in the country where im now..hahaha..it's a tropical country but the year started with really cold weather especially in the morning till mid february and then suddenly it's so hot that we all feel that summer came too early and quite hotter too this time with occassional afternoon rains...it's like the lamb and the lion getting confused as to who should rule the climate..hehehe

I think we're a lamb. Kinda hard to tell. We have a rain storm coming in today and lasting through the week, but then rain this time of year is normal for us! Temperatures are in the 50's. It's just as likely that the end of the month will be pretty much the same for us as the beginning, as the middle can be too. If we had snow and ice, then I'd say we were a lion.

If we can believe the weather men (Bless thier hearts they try but...well) we are going to have above normal temps this week with no rain which will be a welcome sight for us!

I'd say it came as a lion here in New Jersey. Friday was 60 degrees out, last night it snowed about 3 to 4 inches and we are supposed to have about 14 inches by the end of tomorrow! Which is funny since it has barely snowed at all here all winter, lol. Hopefully that is the end and spring will come soon!

All last month it snowed and snowed almost non-stop, 2 days ago we had 3 feet of snow on the ground and some places had 5 or more feet. Today there is not a single hint of white anywhere, all the snow is melted and it's 70 degrees outside... So it's definitely came in like lamb this year. So much so that I'm expecting a freak super blizzard later this month.

I know what you mean. We have got so used to bad storms coming that they screamed we were in for a whopper this time and we didn't get it. It went just south and East of us. I guess mother nature thought we neded a break!
