I am looking through a website with frugal tips and will list a few and then the link to the site at the bottom. Any comments, suggestions, works and don't works for those who have tested it is welcome! Fingernail Polish in the carpet? Well take some fingernail polish remover, not so much and just dab it with a sponge or white towel (I assume so that you can see if it's coming up) I know I never would've thought that'd do the trick! Acrylic paint? Use a number of things. A solution of ammonia, vinegar and water (see site I provide later), or goo off, or vandalism / graffiti remover, alcohol or vodka! Reuse paper! Well there's many suggestions, most of them revolving and reusing them for notes and such, taking them to schools, just lots... I only read two of them on this site but the possibilites are endless. http://www.thefrugallife.com

we shop at thrift stores for things that we need plus we make a lot of easy and homemade meals. for instance, for supper tonight we had home made mac and cheese with bologna (that my m-i-l gave us). there are lots of great ideas for saving money if you just look.

That sounds like a simple but feeling meal! I think thrift stores are a great place to shop, because from what I've seen the clothes are in good condition and if they're not then they can be used for something else, or fixed! I think thrift shops have a standard though, so most of the time the clothes are ain good condition. There are tons of ideas on the internet, and I enjoy just looking through all of them! Great Response, Have a wonderful day!

The nail polish remover for carpet actually does work, my boyfriend does carpet for a living and that's what they tell people to do. You're pretty much out of luck if it's white carpet, but it works on most carpet!

I'm sorry I didn't respond to you earlier, I think I saw this but forgot all about it! That's great that it actually works, I'm going to have to remember that just in case someone I know gets nail polish on carpet. I don't use nail polish anymore though, but I'll remember that just in case I do start painting my nails again. It sucks that it doesn't come out with white carpet but I guess that's to be expected. Great Response! Have a wonderful day!

This is a really good discussion baby because frugality is something that is very important especially now that the economy is so bad,and no one can find work and everyone keeps getting laid off,and I am sure there are people who have different opinions on frugality some people probably like going to places like the dollar store, and use cheaper methods to get things done, while I am sure others will only buy the name brand things, and they will pay the extra to get things done the way they are used to getting them done,I am not sure if I remember you mentioning that website when it comes to frugal tips, and those definitely sound like some interesting tips to save some money, and I am not sure if they work or not,but hopefully will you will get a lot of good responses with people either proving or disproving those methods, and maybe people will even give you ideas of other methods when it comes to being frugal,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day ,good luck with all your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.
