My parents bought me and my sister a piano as a Christmas gift. So the two of us took lessons. I started learning how to play the piano at age six. I won a lot of awards from just playing the piano in recitals and stuff. I enjoyed it until I became more serious with my studies. That was when I decided to stop. How about you guys?

I first started taking piano lessons when I was in second grade, so I guess I was seven or eight. I took them for about eight years. Like you, I used to play in recitals, although I did not enjoy them that much. While I love to play the piano, I have never really liked performing in front of people except for my own family. I love playing the piano though and now I just play occasionally for fun. I do not have a piano at my house but I play my parents' piano when I am at their house. Someday I would like to get one of my own.

Your love for playing the piano still retained even if you are already older. I still like playing the piano but not like before. I used to be so enthusiastic about it. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, I never take piano lessons before but I would like to take if I have the chance I future. I am not sure if its tough for an adult to learn piano. I enjoy listening to piano pieces especially Canon In D. Its nice to know how to play by ear as well. There is an online course that learn play by ear and please look at my profile for details. Thanks

I like this topic, i just want to start a new. I sent my son to learn piano last year, up to now, already six month. Now he is nearly 6years old. I select paino for him cause this musical instrument could develope baby's intelligence. There is only one course once a week, One time for half an hour. I accompany him to practice every day. This year he will be a primary school student, maybe more serious studies are waiting for him. I really hope he can insistent to play paino every day. No matter how tired i am ,i will accompany him. Oh, i forget ask you how old are you now?
