Making My Own Money - I rather be working for me than on a boss, whom I'm paying for his pleasures
My last interview was many years ago..sitting in the office having this man asking questions to hire me..I said to myself" what the heck am I doing here?" I should be the one sitting in his place and I said. " excuse-me but I don't want the job!" Surprisedhe asked me why..I said. " I rather count on me to make money than count on you." He laughed and said to me.. I love your attitude ..you're hired!

have a great day - Betty Boop is my fav. avatar..what is yours
THANKS..I have lots of stories of my life..at 36 a newspaper company I was working for wanted to publish a book on my life.Imagine now at 65..probably would have many sequels to them if I had agreed.Actually that newspaper had heard how good salewoman I was and called and said, " I heard u the best saleswoman in the world." I answered.." Yes, you are absolutely right" without even asking who was calling! So I went to the interview out of curiosity as I wasn,t really interested. In the interview I said..well if you will hire me on my terms, what I want for a salary and%..sure I will. I thought, " hah, he won't hire me with what I wanted! HAH.. he did!

Hi zweeb. It's good that you didn't have to go through any formal interviews as I've seen some guys, especially newly grads, who get panic attacks when being interviewed. Thanks for your post.

My last job interview was February 2, 2009. I can't say if i aced it but i think i did well. Three different people (HR, Trustee and the Regional Director) interviewed me in three different parts of the building so i was like walking here and there to meet them up. It was a great experience though. I applied for a spot in government office and it really does take a lot of time to be process but i'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully by mid of this month, the result will be out.

My last job interview was 5 years ago. I didn't do excellent on the interview though. I did what I suppose to do. Fortunately, I got accepted in the job, Until now. How about you, did you do well?

Hi clorissa. I think you did an excellent job since you got accepted and is still working for that company. As for your question, mine was ages ago..must have been 19 years ago right after college. It was the usual procedure, HR first, then the department manager and finally,an interview with the vice president. It was a good one since I got the job. Thanks for your response. God bless.

My last job interview was a few years ago. I thought the interview went ok, but I did not get the job. Mainly because they wanted me to work hours that I was not wanting to work with small children who would need a baby sitter.

It has been almost 8 years ago since I started to work here. I graduate school in a month and I will start searching for a new job then. I am very nervous because the amount of time it has been since I have had to look for a job. I hope that everything goes well and I can keep my nerves under control. I am just so excited.

I almost forgot when I was last interviewed for a job. I guess that was 7 years ago... Yes, I did good. I don't have an impressive resume, my prospective employer pointed out that it seems I am jumping from one unrelated job to another and I have no goal in mind. But then, I answered her that I was looking for the best opportunity to be able to help my family as much as I can so I entered any job as long as I know that I can do what is required of that particular position and have a chance to develop myself wholly at the same time. She was impressed and right there and then, she hired me.

My last job interview was a little over 6 months ago. I was moving to another city and I was interviewing with a manager at a facility there for the company I work for. I was actually very satisfied with my experience. She was trying to get me to agree to work a shift that I really didn't want. I told her that at this point, this is what I want and if she couldn't work that out for me becuase of things she had promised on her end to her existing staff, I had no hard feelings, I understood her position, but I would have to go to another facility. I'm usually not that authoritative, but I had given this situation alot of thought and it finally came down to knowing what I wanted and not settling for anything less. (I got what i wanted by the way. )

I agree with you, uicbear. You need not settle for anything less...and it's good that you got things your way.I'm sure the management knows how valuable you are to the company and they cannot afford to let you go. Have a great day and happy mylottin!
