My hairs are not so curly but it looks awesome when I pressed them for any occasion or function. That is why everyone suggests me that I should go for permanent straighting. I also wants to do but at the other side I am afraid of doing this. The reason is some myths ralated to permanent straighting. Please suggest me what should I do.I actually knwo the myth is not true. But it still have some effect on me.

Just buy a Chi straightening and decide everyday how you want it. It takes me about 20 minutes to straighten my hair everymorning. It is really not bad that way nothing is permanent.

I completely agree with buying a Chi - It works amazingly and you never have to worry about anything. They work quickly and it doesn't take long 10-20 minutes depending on your hair thickness and length I would say. Mine takes about 15 because I have thick hair about shoulder length. I got my hair permanently straightened when I was younger and loved it, until I saw that my hair was breaking off as it grew out. I was lucky and only some of it did, but apparently some others lost quite a bit. I think getting a CHI is your best bet - and if you ever decide to try curly you have a chance to.

hey funny i just had my hair straightened just this weeek. Before i was very hesitant also to straightened my hair because of the fear of just about everything but after a salon done it i am so happy eversince. Like you my hair also is so unruly and not OK but after straightening it it became more lively and so good. but my only advice to you is let a good salon do it . and let them treat it with cellophane to make it more beautiful. If you are in manila philippines i very much suggest going straight because they are so good in doing it.

There is no really such a thing as a permanent straightening since it will eventually return to its normal state within a few months. I underwent Hair Rebonding, it made my hair straight and silky smooth. It is good for four months before I need to have it rebonded again. The difference of the rebonding from ordinary straightening is that the hair is softer and flows like a natural straight hair. It is more expensive though ( around $105 compared to $15 for a regular straightening for a hair length of just below the shoulder).
