what do you do/ say when people near you don't cover their mouths when coughing?

imagine yourself in a publice vehicle. you then hear someone coughing. you look around and this man is openly coughing, and you feel his cough on your face. ew... you turn your back on him, but he keeps coughing and you feel the air whoosh through your hair every single time he coughs. or maybe you're in the market. the vendor coughs and coughs while you make your purchases, and your purchases are "blessed" by her spray of saliva. what do you do? if you can't walk away (like if you're in a public vehicle), do you speak out? if so, what do you say? or would you rather stay quiet?

i think i'm more likely to just keep quiet. i might blurt our something stupid or rude..you never know. it would be an innocent mistake though. anyway what i can never control tho' is my immediate facial reaction whenever that happens..oh.. :O

hehe me too, i'm probably the type who just keeps it to herself, but i will definitely be itching to give that rude person a piece of my mind. hehe. saliva travelling at 60 mph is not something i want on my face. lol. i will probably grimace and react quite wildly at first, but if the person doesn't get it, oh well. hehe.

Just tell them what you feel about that! Or if you have tissue paper, give them one.

i've thought about giving them tissue paper. but i get scared! what if they blow their noses real hard and they don't have the manners to wipe it off tastefully? what if they are also rude with how they use the tissue? lol ^_^ once, i gave tissue paper to an old woman who kept sneezing without covering her mouth/ nose. she said thanks and used the tissue to wipe her nose. then she ept sneezing again. she didn't use the tissue to cover her mouth as she sneezed! lol. old habits die hard. ;D

Oh this drives me nuts! I usually cut my eyes and make the remark along the lines of how rude... People can think I'm cruel but where's your manners? Not everyone wants to be sick!

hehe it not only drives me nuts, it makes me sick (literally). i'm a rather sickly person and i take on germs quite easily. i don't know why people cough without covering their mouths. maybe they were not raised that way? hm...
