Hi, If I can't sleep after trying so for an hour, I would just turn on the computer to surf the Internet for a while. After so, I would feel tired and sleep. You can try drinking hot fresh milk at night to have a better sleep.

when i can't sleep, like you i come on mylot and see whats going on here, or i'll watch some tv. if that doesn't work i usually take a nice hot shower to relax and get into comfy pyjamas and hit my bed, as a last resort it usually works for me!

First thing, you can try to relax your-self. I normally watch movie when I can not sleep. Of couse, the best movie to watch is the comedy-tye of movies. It can help me to relax and start to feel sleepy. Another way that you can try out is reading a book. Some people said it is the best way to get sleep because even in class we can feel sleepy when reading a book :P.

This happens to me sometimes. When is does, I often find that the reason is because I am thinking so much. I tend to think about what happened during the day, things I should do tomorrow, things I forgot to do, the rest of my week, etc, etc. I spend so much time thinking that I can't fall asleep. I guess when your brain is in action, you can't really relax enough to fall asleep. When this happens, I try to stop thinking about thigs and just drift off. Sometimes even just trying to think about nothing or just the darn helps. If I keep thinking about nothing, I eventually fall asleep. If you have a hard time doing this, though, you should probably stop because it might just end up stressing you out or making you try to think harder. Somtimes even repeating a word like "sleep sleep sleep" and not letting yourself think of anything else helps. Your brain eventually starts to power down for the night and you should drift off. If your sleeping problems aren't thinking-related, however, try taking a sleeping pill or something. I hope it helps!

Try go off the Computer or stop watching T.V before you sleep, and instead try reading a book, magazine or a newspaper until you feel tired. If not try listening to music before you sleep. Thats my usual routines when i cant sleep.

I usually just read a book, watch a movie, go online, or something like that. It normally helps me, when I can't sleep. And I'm sure it helps a lot of people. Sometimes, it takes a little longer than other nights, but in the end, it helps.

watch a movie that you have seen many times, or that you always find yourself sleeping through. Forest Gump (although I enjoy it) makes me fall asleep along with the original Star Wars movies

You could probably read a book or something. Take a warm bath also. Anything to relax your muscles and relieve stress from the day.
