My dogs are terrified of me!!

I broke the unbreakable rule. The same one I break every month. I put flea medicine on them. As soon as they see me getting the capsules out, they are GONE. I have to hunt them down, put a leash on them, and have them look at me like I'm beating them. Those sorrowful brown eyes... They act like I beat and torture them when I do this!! Does anyone else have this problem? Do your dogs act like your Satan after doing this? Any funny stories about how your best friend reacts to you doing something they don't approve of?

You mean mean mommy. Putting that nasty flea medicine on them. Mine hates it to. Quick, hide, Mommy is being mean again. Even worse is bath time. Thankfully she loves pill time. Stupid dog thinks that it's treat time. Treats is something like eggplant dip or some other healthy human food from the fridge that I eat. I stick her 5 pills in half a teaspoon of it and she wolfs it down.

I know it. I just can't help myself. I have to be mean, it's like a compulsion... Yeah, pills aren't a problem for me either. Goes down real nice. I keep thinking about getting those flea collars, but they'd chew on each others and make themselves sick. Or tear them off, just as likely. Sigh. Smart dogs aren't always a good thing...

Mine love their collars. They think they are special when I put them on.

Give them treats after you put the medicine on them. Praise them for all the good they do. Be nice to them. My dog is not afraid of flea medicine or claw clippers, because we praise him when he stays still and we give him a treat whenever we are through.

I think, for some reason, that all animals hate flea prevention treatment. My cat used to disappear in the same manner! Amazing how they know what it is, don't you think? Then, after you've put it on, they spend hours trying to get it off, by licking, shaking themselves, or running around as though there's a full moon. Ha ha ha. You've got your work cut out there, my friend. Brightest Blessings.

Lol... yes, one would hope so, but alas, they seem to be quite intelligent, my friend!

Yes, come to think of it, my cat Creamy used to be a trial too. And will be again. I left him alone because he doesn't come in during the winter. But next month, he'll be on the list too. Sigh. You'd think they'd forget about it by the next month, wouldn't you? Darn it!

I don't have any dogs, and with my friends we let each other do whatever we want, we dont approve or dissaprove, but when they seriously dont agree with something, and we do it, we usually end up getting mad at each other for a while...
