it's a long time since i used a trackball mouse. all i can remember is that it did not have a accurate positioning and the ball was always overwhelming since it's too old...

I can do it with playing cs and a lot of games, trackball and optical mouse seems different with sensitivity. For trackball, it need smooth pad and for optical mouse, it need rough pad. I use that both for any kinds of games, it still accurate positioning.

I think both optical mouse and mouse with trackball have their advantages and disadvantages. Most optical mouses available today can either be corded or wireless. Those with trackball are often corded. Now-a-days, mouse with trackball aren't sold anymore or just kept in shelves at stores while the optical ones get displayed for sale. I could use both optical and those with trackball. It just seems like those with trackball don't last as much as those that are optical. Well, for me that is..

well i completely agree. the lifetime of the trackball mouses is not as long as optical and they are now outdated. i also use optical mouse and i'm more comfortable with it as compared to trackball mouses.

The cleaning part though is rather easier when it comes to a mouse with a track ball since you just have to remove the ball and wipe off the accumulated residue. With optical ones, you either have to know a bit more I guess than just simple wiping..

Well I have used a trackball mouse and an optical mouse. Well the trackball mouse is already outdated so there is no question about whether to go for the trackball mouse or the optical mouse. Moreover people now prefer more VFM. When you get more features for the same price or a few cents above it why not go in for that one ? Anyways cheers and happy mylotting !!!

Trackball mouse not a mouse with a ball on bottom .you know the mouse you do not have to move you just have a big ball on a stationary mouse.

I have always used a mouse with normale wire.Few months I have been governed by an optical mouse to be included in pendrive pc. Unfortunately I have noticed that this type of mouse absorbs a lot of energy and often should I change the batteries. Presents no problem in the operation, but for the consumption preferable that with the wire.
