What do you do when you have procrastinated too long?

I am the worlds worst to put off things until the last minute and then find myself running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get it all done. What do you do in this situation and if you are one of those organized people, how do you stay on task?

I'm a very unorganized person, and I procrastinate a lot. But, I use it to my advantage: I may put off a task that takes 1 hour to do, until I only have 30 minutes left to do it; but guess what? Because of the added pressure, I work much faster, and still get it done on time! Usually that would mean a drop in the quality of my work, but for some reason I work much faster under stress and I do it just as good as when I take the full hour. So by procrastinating, I actually get things done faster. Yeah, I'm weird like that in a lot of ways...

I just get it done so I don't have to be under pressure. I'm great when I'm under pressure but I don't challenge myself that way, other people do.

you can say that i am neither a procrastinator nor an organized person... i am the in-between person.. Well important things i try to remember, so that later on i wouldnt be facing too much of a problem.. But smalll issues like sewing on a loose button or making my bed or cleaning my room, then i become procrastinating. And in the end it becomes such a BIG mess that i would need to get help from someone(not my mom as she would kill me!!! ) to help me with my situation... I try my maximum to not procrastinate... My mom had always tried to teach me that " A stitch in time, saves nine "
