New Year's Resolutions...How are you doing so far?

Well, the new year isn't so new anymore. We are three months into it now, and about to start a new season. So, how are you doing on those resolutions you set for yourself? Most have forgotten about them altogether, but I haven't. I didn't say anything on here, but I set a few goals for myself in 2009, and I am making great progress towards them everyday. I thought that now that I know that these are firm, and I am not letting go of them, I will share them with you, my friends here at MyLot. My first resolution, getting out of my Grandmothers house-Those that have followed me for a little while know that I and my two children live with my Grandmother. You also probably know that she is doing way too much back seat parenting for my taste. So I am trying to move out of here at least by my birthday in June. I have a few challenges that limits me from just getting an apartment anywhere, but the good news is that in October, I put in an application at a complex that will accept it as is. They told me that it would take 6-8 months for my application to be pulled, and I am nearing that mark. As a matter of fact, I should hear something by May at the latest. My second resolution, get back in school for business and finish-This was a big challenge for me, especially since I had flunked out of my previous college. I tried applying at University of Cincinnati, but they wouldn't take me unless I had my transcript from Cincinnati State, which I couldn't get until I paid what I owed to them. I was going to attend an online college, Full Sail University, because it is one of the only two schools in the nation that offers a degree in Internet Marketing. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford the entrance fee, so that went to waste. It was for the better, I'm not disciplined enough to do school online. When I should have been taking exams, I would have been in here chatting lol. But my search finally paid off when I found Antonelli College. They have a Business Program that will not only help me to get an administrative job, but it will also help me to fine tune my skills for business. My third resolution, create a network of free opportunities online for people to earn money-This actually has been a resolution of mine for years, but this is the year that I will actually see some results. I have found one opportunity that I am a part of that actually works, and being on MyLot, I have the knowledge of many more opportunities that I can list. Actually, in the next few weeks I will be asking many questions on it, and putting out more detail about the website, so if you are interested at any level, stay tuned. I feel good right now, I can actually see the end result of what I am trying to do. That is the purpose of resolutions. Not to just make them and let them fall to the wayside, but to actually make progress from year to year. This year I am going to make the best progress I have in quite some time. Its my time, and 2009 is mine!!! So, who out there made resolutions this year? Did you stick with them, or have you fallen off the wagon? (Don't worry, you can always get right back on) What are your resolutions? Care to share?

Yep, its never too late to effect change on your life, no matter when it is, as long as you're breathing. Its not too late to do it this year either, we still have nine months left. What were your resolutions anyway?

I don't make New Years resolutions. Because I am afraid I will break them. Then I would be disappointed in myself.

So good to see that youare keeping toyours! I took the lazy way out and didn't make any. It was the only way I knew that I would stick to them and not cause further problems this year like all the previous years when I made some and never kept them

I didn't really have a set resolution this year, because I wasn't certain how well that I would be able to carry it out. I therefore decided that I would "just try to be a bit healthier" this year and see what happens. I've cut soda out of my diet almost entirely, and my desserts are much healthier (often fruit with a little extra something added). I'm more active, and as a result, I've lost 5 pounds so far this year. Doesn't sound like much, maybe, but it's a start, and I'm definitely happy about it.
