Okay, this may sound a bit nuts, but my husband collects restaurants. That is to say he likes to compare restaurants everywhere we go and tries to keep a running list of the top ten in each category. That is what takes our family to Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. While I like the show, I would rate it as my second choice. My #1 favorite is Good Eats. I especially like that the science of food is explored. I like to know the background of a food and cooking methods. Once informed, it is easier to make choices in the kitchen when questions arise. The humor is a real plus too. I can't think of too many of the Food Channel shows that I don't enjoy but the above two are my favorites.
