Hi friends today I saw the discussions in the friends started tab, to my surprise all discussions are atleast six months old. and few are some one year old. I am wondering what all of a sudden very old discussions got activated today. any one knows the reason? are you also experiencing same thing? share with me.

Hello chaitra001! I also got confused about that. But now I truly understand why. An old discussion got activated if someone (whether the discussion starter or other members) commented and responded to that discussion, then it would eventually go to the first page.

Yes I agree with Aisa, I think someone would have been searching for a post and would have found it interesting and cared to reply. It would have therefore sprung back into life lol

you're right nikky..especially if that old discussion became a top discussion that time.

You need not feel so wonder stuck or surprised. You see if someone responds to our any older discussion, it gets re-activated or say alive and it is shown in the category of 'discussions friends started'. One of the dear friends here dug out my very old discussions and responded to those yesterday and today and those discussions might be appearing. When you get older here and someone touches your older discussion, it will also get reactivated.

Chaitra! I was thinking about the same thing that you might have seen my older discussions in the category 'discussions started by friends' and those older discussions prompted and 'ignite' you to post you a new discussion. Interestingly, I cannot see my own discussions in the said category. Nonetheless, notifications in my mail box regarding my older discussions did tell me that those have been reactivated.

Hi Chaitra, Lol, you know once I replied to a discussion which started two years ago. It comes in the top of friend's discussion and the response number was more than 400. So I opened the same and found that it started before two years and the subject got my attention I posted mine too. I think some members are checking the old discussion of their newly added friends and replying their old discussions. Naturally it will come in the top. If you are interested to the topic you can post your own unless you were not responded earlier.

Some weeks ago there were many users complaining that they can never find anything to respond to or the discussions were always the same boring, repeated topics. At that point some other users were also talking of their older discussions with no responses. So someone here put two and two together and suggested fishing in our friends' profiles and lending a hand. It is snowballing and there are now many, many discussions on top again that were started months or even years ago It's a lovely feeling when ne of your old discussions that had no responses gets a new lease of life. There are new members who were not around at the time it was started and have things to add whihc were not said then. So there's no problems when we see older ones revived and it all adds to the fun!

Nothing to worry friend. The other day I happily responded to a discussion and after I submitted my response it caught my eyes that it was one year old. This is happening now. And no worry if you could comment on them too.
