Do you think it is possible we are going into run away inflation? I think that is exactly what we are doing. I think when they raised the price of the motor fuel for the trucks so high it started a perpetual effect that is growing larger every day. The trucking companies are in a box with very few choices. When diesel fuel went so high they had no choice but raise the prices on the service they provide in order to survive. This resulted in everyone else all the way from the consumer to the producer to have to raise their prices to cover the trucking increase. By the time this price increase made the loop back to the trucking companies all of their prices had increased which demanded they raise their price again to stay in business. This trend just keeps growing and every time it makes a loop it will get larger. I think it is already out of control and will result in a very high inflation rate. This will be a world wide event, not just in the US. OPEC raised the price of oil products on every country. The poorer countries will be effected less than the rich ones. A lot of the people in the poorer countries still produce a lot of what they consume and this will give them an advantage. Let me know what your thoughts are on this. Art

it's called " hyper inflation" and yes it can happen. Especially with the way our government is printing up money out of thin air.

They would almost have to be printing a lot of money. I real;ly don't think it matters though our money hasn't been backed up with anything in a long time. Thanks for you reply. Art
