Do you know how to socialize?

There are lots of time you need to socialize and communicate with people especially at work. Do you have a good interpersonal skills? Do you know how to "talk"?
I remember when I was at work, we needed to see lots of people from different country, kinda need to socialize and build up a good impression and relationship for the possible business chances in the future stuff like that. But I don't seem to be active to socialize with people, I just smile and answer most of the time. I think smiling is always good even though you don't really know what to react.
How about you? Do you do it good?

Hi mermaidivy...well..I supppose I do know, but dont always do it. Sometimes I can be the life of the party and extremely extroverted, other times, like a clam. I think it all depends on the situation and people involved..In a work situation, I am usually very positive and helpful and try to show Im confident in my job, although I may not have a clue!
I know how and when to use manners, if in upscale company. I can be serious but prefer not to be most of the time. I prefer to socialize with everyday simple people. I am much more in my element than socializing in an upscale crowd..I suppose I can bluff my way through either..
....but then I do have my silent days too!
