Never saw the Man From UNCLE! Oh! You poor deprived child! Mind you, I never liked sitcoms, I can tell you that M*A*S*H and the Monkees were the only ones I watched when they were on. I did watch varity shows, but my thing was dramas, and the more action adventure the BETTER!

We have something in common! I Love Lucy and Mr. Ed (I'm humming the theme song now, lol) are my all-time favorites. Also high on the list are the old Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Outer Limits. We get a couple of channels that play these old greats, and most of the time I'd rather watch those than most of whats new.

Thanks so much! Now I'm going to be humming that song for a second day...lol. Once in a while the 'oldies' channels have marathons of some of these great shows. I wish they'd have one for Mr Ed. I've seen a few of them for the Honeymooners, and I Love Lucy - both of which were terrific.

My favourite black and white show is also 'I love Lucy'. She was just fantastic and a lot of what is portrayed is still relevant today. She really was so funny. I likle to watch the AMCX channel where many movies are also in Black and White. I have heard of the other programmes you mentioned but I do not get them on cable tv.

Lucy Rules. It seems to be the consensus here. I'm glad that I'm not the only weirdo who loves Lucy. I wish she was still alive and making films. She was a comic genius.

I adored Laugh-In, The Monkees, and Smothers Brothers. Not sure if they really were black and white though!! We only had a b & w tv, so that's what everything was!

We only had black and white until the 70's. Why waste money on a color TV just because it is available? That was my parents way of thinking. I tend to agree. I actually never bought a VCR and finally broke down and bought a DVD when the price came down to $50.

Well the only show that I really liked in black and white was I love lucy. I remember when that was on nick at night and I use to watch it every night and I have not seen that show in years. But that was one of my favorite shows as a kid I use to love it.

I was a Lucy fan from the day I discovered TV. It was on at 5:30 and we ate at 6:00. I was allowed to see it every day. Even after seeing every show at least a dozen times, I still find it funny.

We were on of the last family's on the block to go to color. Our TV worked, so why replace it? I loved Bonanza. I still catch an occasional episode when I'm visiting the States.

One of my all time favorites is Gilligans Island. Both of my kids think it's kind of corny and it probably is but I like it anyway!

Gilligan sure got himself into a lot of trouble. Imagine if he had to live in the real world how hard it would be for him. Good thing his friend on the Island tolerated his mistakes.

I was never into that kind of slapstick. I know they are comic geniuses, but they were never my type.
