I don't know, because the plain white rice is my staple food. I seldom eat other food like noodles, dumpling or other food. It's hard to say, because I am a little fat. I am 1.78m in height, 62.5KG in weight. I'd like to reduce some pounds.

yes, but you overweight. I know rice has carbohydrate but the big risk is increase the sugar element into your urine (diabetes).

i don;t think so that if we eat rice ,we gain weight . i am eating rice from many years. with only rice ,we can;t gain weight .lack of exercise ,we can gain weight.white rice is a simple carb, it is converted to sugar with very little calorie usage. In and of itself it does not "make" you gain weight.White rice is all right as a source of carbs, but brown rice is much more nutritious and has fiber to boot. Takes a bit longer as it needs to soak before cooking, but it's very tasty. it isn't the rice that makes us fat , that is low calorie and low fat,it is oil, fat, sugars, we should less rice and more vegetables ,then we won;t gain weight .we can go for it. but in less quantity ,not too much quantity.

I do not think rice can make you gain weight. Rice just can give us energe and it will not influence our weight.

For me, rice does make me gain weight. That is why I only eat rice during lunch time and not at dinner time. Rice is the staple food here in my country so everyone eats rice. I love eating rice but had to reduce it as my hips and thighs were getting big !!

Hey there! It depends on your body's metabolism. Some times you might notice that you've been eating a lot of food but there's no improvement with your body. You're still as you are. That usually happens when you're still young where you have a high metabolic rate. Usually when we get old our metabolic rate goes down. Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

I haven't got a clue. I don't think so, I eat it alot and it doesn't make me gain weight. Everyone is different, it depends on your metabolism really. I can eat lots of things and not gain weight but it will soon be coming to an end.

rice is best souce of cabohydrates, and carbohydrates turns into sugar, this sugar is converted to energy our body produces. so if we dont use our energy often, theres no sugar conversion to energy happening to our body that means more carbohydrate retaining in out body.. :D
