I just came back from our province. I attended a family reunion which our family hosted. It was such a nice feeling being reconnected with the rest of your relatives. We are a very big family and this reunion has been a tradition. It;s nice to meet cousins down to the third generation. :) How about you? how do you feel about family reunions? When was the last time you attended one?

My family has a reunion every 5 years. This coming June will be the 4th reunion we have had. My whole family flies or drives here, to Florida. It is nice to see everyone because sometimes at the reunion is the only time I see these relatives. All of us that live here have wished that it would be held somewhere else at least once...then we can feel like we are on a vacation too. But, everyone loves to come here, I don't see it changing anytime soon.

Last summer was the last time we had a reunion. On my father's side we have one every year. On my mother's side it's every other year - this year is the one for her side. My husband's family has tried to have reunions, but everyone gets frustrated with them and it doesn't work out well - I'll probably plan the one for this year!

My family attends about 4 every year. We have two on my husbands side, and two on my side. So usually in May, July, August, and December. I love going to the family reunions and we keep record of the one in August, right now I'm actually in charge of keeping the record. We record how many people, biggest family, oldest, youngest, any big news, just about everything. We also read what was wrote the last year at the new one. I love going to the reunions and my kids do too. My husband would usually rather sit at home (when we go to mine) but we drag him along as well.

It has been years since I have attended one of our big family reunions, but we have have little family get togethers several times a year. I really enjoy them. It is nice to see your family every once in awhile. We usually get to together for holidays, birthdays, and every summer we have a fish fry. I really enjoy seeing all my cousins, and its neat to see how big all the kids are getting.

My family is pretty close so we attend each others birthday parties and things like that but thats for my first cousins. We haven't had a family reunion in a very long time. I wouldn't know half the people there.

Hello cefaz_21, I can't even remember when was the last time I attended one. As far as I know, after getting married about four years ago, I spent most of the time with my family. We used to go out or holiday together but to attend a big family reunion, can't even remember at all... Most of us stay in the big city and the elders are in different small towns scattered every where here in Malaysia. Unless we really want to, it is hard to gather all of us...

well.. if you're talking about reunion with my grams and all my uncles and aunties.. that'll be during the CHinese New Year. I don't often see my extended family. Once a year perhaps. But at times i don't even see them if i fly. I don't really like family reunions because it's pointless. Year in year out, it's the same set of questions. And then it's the comparing of which cousin is "living" or is in a better situation than the rest. Who is smarter than who... blah blah blah.

It's been ages since i last attended a family reunion.. I was in 2nd year school then when we attended the biggest family reunion at my mom's side of the family.. just like you, i've got the chance to meet my cousins down to the third generation... they were all nice!!! the event was held at one of the hotels in the north... The catering service provided the food, there were balloons, parlor games, prizes, souvenirs, etc..

I love having family reunions, but the problem is that my closest family is spread in four continents, so getting all together is a rather difficult proposition! Sometimes I am able to get together with a sister or brother, although last summer I got together with a sister and brother at the same time! We will be going to Australia for Easter, so that will give me the chance to see my youngest sister, whom I have not seen since the year 2000!

We don't have the tradition but we organize family reunion during christmas time and will have a great feast. Every year we try to be home with our family during the Christmas time and discuss all the things that we have been doing the whole year and also the things that have to be done..etc. Last year i missed it because of my exam and i am really missing home.

Hi cefaz_21! Wow, family reunions are very happy events/occasions I love to attend. the last big family reunion I attended was last January 1, 2009 wherein all relatives of first to second degree were all there. It was such a big happy party for all of us. We even had raffles and games. However, we always have small family reunions of all the children of my grandmother, all the grandchildren and grandchildren every Sunday. We all have lunch and dinner at my grandmother's home and it is always nice to be there all the time. That is why each Sunday, I am definitely not here on mylot except for a few minutes here on Sunday evening sometimes. LOL! Take care and blessings to you! lovelots..faith

The last time attended a family reunion was about 5 years ago. It was really nice to see all these people who look like me. It was interesting and a bit of culture shock since we don't live on the same continent. I hope to attend one again soon.. but we'll see.
