My smoke alarm is very sensitive, sometimes when my cooking produces some smokes, it rings; sometimes when I let the heat comes out after baking, the alarms rings. When I need to do is cool it off then it will go off. I don' tkno wif it is a bad thing or good thing, it rings easy but you want it sensitive in case there is a fire.

I have a problem with my alarm too. Sometimes when I'm baking something and it splatters in the oven, it will set off the alarm. I try to remember to open the window and turn on the fan before it goes off.

As annoying as it is, it's better that it's too sensitive. I take the battery out of mine sometimes when I am cooking. I keep it right in my pocket or some place where I'll definitely see it so I don't forget to put it back when I am done. You don't want your family to become so de-sensitized to it that they ignore it when it's going off, so for that reason I think it's a good idea to disconnect it when you know it's your cooking setting it off.

I think it might be a good idea to take out the battery when cooking. Thanks for sharing!
