I sometimes wonder whether Ghosts are there for real? One gets to hear so many spooky stories and accounts about haunted houses and other places..I have heard many of friends and relatives recounting their experiences, where they have actually come across ghosts or ghostly happenings- I have never had the fortune of meeting one of themexcept once stay at a home which was supposed to be haunted, and the 2 days we were there the ghosts were on vaccation ! Nothing happened! On second thoughts if something did happen , I am not sure , as to how I would have reacted Friends any of you with any interesting ghostly experience or stories to share with all of us here?

Kiran! I am going to disappoint you because I have no experience of confronting any ghost so far. I have only heard or read about them in stories of in Hindi/English movies. Those who came face to face with ghosts can only confirm it.

I am a Ghost addict.Ghost stories and Horror movies are my cup of tea.I like to listen to ghost stories. When I was a kid living in Sri Lanka in the tea estate most of the rainy nights were spent sitting around the fire drum as a group drying the clothes and listening to the ghost stories while it is pouring and ink dark outside. It s a pity that I have not encountered a ghost so far and do not have a personal experience to narrate here.Ghosts must be horrible not to present themselves to such a ghost lover

Kiran , I don't know whether many of the stories are real or false. But I can share one small thing with you- when I was in eigth standard, we used to rush downstairs from that particular floor because there were reports by other inmates[I studied in a convent where there were many AngloIndians, Christians etc..,]that there was a ghost there. 'HEY!you know what!there is a ghost here.Come we should all run downstairs because now you will soon be able to hear the anklets of the ghost and it is in a pink sare.!" ''HA??'' we stupid fools would all gape open mouthed. Now after, 37 years when I happened to teach a few senior students on a privat basis[these were from the same school] they tolD me about the ghost in a pink saree. Apparently the pink saree has had no wear and tear! I laughed like God knows what when I heard this tall tale handed down generations.

No Kiran the ghost that stays picturised in my mind is not wearing the same shade.Honestly! it is a pink that is typical of our traditional rose[not the Blore one which will remain fresh for a long time. In eighth standard I was only familiar with the traditional sweet smelling rose[the one used for Gulkhand] because I had one plant at home too.It used to be so sweet smelling and typically the month of January was the best season for this, when the flowers used to be bathed in morning dew. So, this was the pink etched in mind.I also vaguely remember a light blue border. The imaginative minds of the young!!! This discussion seems to go on entertaining lines instead of the spookiness it is supposed to command!

On top of it,I asked the student"OH !MyGod! Has the ghost not given the pink saree for washing at all?"

LOL It is amazing that even the color of the saree has been faithfully maintained. sometimes it makes you think , whether such a phenomenon is possible at all? I mean the world should be having more ghosts than human beings...btw i too am in a pink saree on mylot

Ya i had one its about my cosiun.he get or Ghost come on him. the is a sick guy. dont have that much power. but after that he was like a Iron man. he threw 5 to six health guys like a ball and when we tie him with bad he brock it and some kind different kind of sound came from his mouth saying he pee in my living place.. i will kill him. and after some time when it cam down. he dont know anything and he will become normal. but even this case is not there. Our Holy book QURAN says about presence of Ghost. al thu there is nothing about there interference in human lifs. what so ever was taken form Quran to Test proven True. either by muslim or non muslims. The Evel or as cristen says Ibel and we muslim says Ablees. is also Ghost.

Thanks a lot haroon for your detailed views ...good and bad exist together, and by the way why should we think that all ghosts are bad or harmful? is it not possible to have good ghosts and forgetful ghosts and so on like human beings? and afterall their souls are human..

Yes, I do believe that ghosts exist. I've had several experiences with ghosts. Too many to count. My first experience was when I was 12 years old. I am now almost 21 years old, just to give you an idea.

Some were a little scary. Especially the first ones that I experienced. I think that the main reason why I was scared at first was because my parents didn't believe me. So, I was pretty much left on my own. But now, although sometimes I am a little scared, it's not as much as it used. I've come to realize that there are some scary and others not scary.

That seems more sensible to agree that even among the ghost class there are some that are more scary and some less. It is an interesting phenomenon and i wonder how it came into being- i mean who discovered ghosts first and how?

Hi samir, we all get paid for our discussions , and you know that right? the longer your response is , it is always better because it contains more matter... the incident you wrote about is mysterious , i have heard something similar from a friend..he too was close to a grave yard and happened to see a lady with loose hair in the middle of the night. I really don't know what to make of that, is it someone trying to scare people?

I do not believe in physical manifestations, but I do believe that they contact you via dreams - especially if they are a deceased relative or an acestor. i recently had one contatc me via dreams and was actually trying to tell me something in little bits and pieces, and left it to me to fit the "puzzle" together. I finally made sense of it all, and come to find out, it came true.

Hi, thats very interesting, contacting you through your dream, more aptly your sub concious mind...I think human mind is the most complicated and i am sure there are many depths which have not yet been discovered..

I have never seen one but there are often things that happen that can not be explained such as objects disappearing and reappearing later when you are sure they were in the place you left them and then finding them where you knew they should have been all along.

Hi Canellita, thanks for the response, thats right, there are so many things that are completely unexplained and makes you wonder if there is any truth in it...

Hi dhawanbm, any reason for being so definite? Have you never heard of any real life experiences of other people that almost makes you believe in them?

Hi, I am from India, but I am not from Kerala. How come you picked on Kerala? i agree with you that there is no proof about the existence of ghosts so far, but it is an interesting and intriguing topic of discussion for all people regardless of age..
