Very Weird Helpless situation at work!

Bad times never come alone. For me it is added with bad things again and again. In our company, they pay a bonus named GDP and performance award. It is informed to employees in 1st-2nd week of March . But my manager is in other country in other time zone. Only communication channel is mail. But for last one month he is not reading any mail, replying any mail . Now all other team members, colleagues have been informed by the manager about the amount. Myself and few other of his reportees are not informed. Now we have asked the hR helpline of our company about this. They will not let us know whether it is solely triggered by managers or will be paid automatically. As I am always bestowed with bad luck, I think it is not paid automatically. So I will not be paid when I really need this and deserve this.

I understand your point subha. Well, I just hope that you will receive what you deserve. Maybe there are reasons why this has happened. Perhaps the only one who can answer would be your manager. Hopefully they are not affected by the recessions since most companies right now are retrenching and some are closing. Well, just be patient.

He is just not doing hid work. we are about 10 who are his reportees. he is not allocating the amount to us, what he is expected to do.Look I guess you are not getting my point. ALL in my Company are getting this. So others have got communication regarding this.

Instead of lamenting, I do think you should be thankful that there is still chance of you getting a bonus in the current economic turmoil. Many are either suffering a paycut or being retrenched. Perhaps it might be more considerate to be sensitive to the feelings of the less fortunate out there.

I think u have not got my point. If there were none in my company getting no bonus, it was ok. All are getting and all in my company are expected to know. But managers have to allocate the amount to the reportees. Only my manager is working very careless and doing nothing for us( we are about 10 who are his reportees). So we plan to take this with next line manager next week.I think now there is no considerate of becoming insensitive to others, is it??????

I guess all you can really do is wait it out and hope for the best. something that important should be your bosses top priority and not go by the wayside unless it is all done electronically.

That is a really bad situation. You have no one else to talk to on the management side? You should deserve this, otherwise it won't be fair for you and others of your colleagues.
