There are so many options when working with eBay... that it does take you a while to learn them all. On average... to sell one item on eBay... between creating the listing... answering people's question, processing the payment, packing and posting the item you sold... you are looking at one hour of work. You might get the money you wanted for your item... but you don't get paid for your time. To get paid for your time... you need to make a profit on the item. And it still depends what value you put on your time.

I have not experienced it... but it would be fair to assume there are bogus sellers everywhere. However... eBay would probably be one of the safest place. eBay did not become that big for nothing. First... every member has a rating for past transactions. If his rating is 100 per cent... that's mean he always does the right thing. As a rule... I would not buy from someone with less than 97 per cent. But there is still a twist to that rule. You need to check what he did get the 100 per cent for. If you are buying from him... you need to make sure that he did get his rating for selling... not for buying... as eBay don't split the two. Besides that... if you do have a problem with the seller... you can lodge a complaint with eBay... and they will resolve the dispute. Serious sellers don't break the rules as eBay don't give them a second chance. And it would be fairly difficult to register with eBay under a false identity. If you do pay the seller with PayPal... you get additional protection... as PayPal will refund your money if you are not satisfy. But for that to happen... the seller needs to be a "Verified PayPal customer". When they are verified... it means that PayPal has access to their credit card account to withdraw money from it... in order to give you your money back. The other thing you need to be careful with... is the postage. A lot of sellers will sell something really cheap... and recover their loss by charging a huge fee for packing and posting your item. I won't buy anything unless the seller tells me first how much he is going to charge me for postage.

I've sold on eBay in the past. I just haven't sold on it in a while because I just haven't had the time to sit down and list. It's easy enough to set up things on eBay, once you get the hand of it The hardest part could be setting up the listings, and knowing what to sell. With the economy the way it is, it's hard to know what to list, so that things will sell. If the items don't sell, you still have to pay the fees for setting up that auction. That's the only real downside.

I'm not talking taxes. I'm talking the fees. They can be expensive since they do add up. If you pay them as you go though, you don't have to worry as much about them.

I'm an e-bay seller, my daughter and I have a store there. It isn't bad but you need to keep at it daily and treat it like a job if you want to be successful. Good Luck and happy mylotting.

Hi...I am a seller in ebay. I find it interesting to sell in ebay as I just list up my stuff in there and let it run by itself meaning that I don't have to constantly go look at it though I do check my account daily. I like selling stuff online as I consider it as working from home - sheltered from the sun and rain and strong wind !! LOL !! It's good money and there's a market out there as more people are into online buying nowadays. So easy for them that the things they buy are delivered to their doorstep by the courier service - they beat the paying counter, save on petrol and time and also they beat the traffic jam.

I sell on Ebay, but not as much as I used to. If you go to my profile you can see what I have for sale. It takes me a little less than an hour to take pictures, list the item, answer q's, and ship it out. Not very time consuming at all. Depending on the item I usually make between $5-$50.

I sell on ebay. It's not hard, but I have a hard time getting my money's worth there, because people are usually looking for cheap stuff, and I do crafts. I still sell a little, but not much.

I am an ebay seller, I absolutely love ebay, it gets a little time consuming sometimes. I use a program called Auctiva it is free and makes listing alot easier. I enjoy going out and looking for different treasures to sell on ebay. It is a nice way to make a little extra income.

I used to sell alot of Ebay. I had the store and was on there everyday adding new items and shipping items out. Its not very time consuming...it is what you make it really. If you want to sell alot and make a decent amount you would need to obviously spend time with listings and shippings but its not too hard to do. You must keep up with it though, with the auctions and the emails. Ots an overall easy process and everything is step by step. I have not sold on there in a while but am thinking about throwing a few things on there that the baby doesnt use anymore. Happy Mylotting and Good Luck Ebaying!
