So much has changed with how Catholics observe the Holy Week. I remember when I was still a child, during Holy Week the streets are so quiet, people go to church for the Station of The Cross and there are no television shows. But now, during Holy Week, people take this as an opportunity to go to the beach.

Hi bubbletush, We do celebrate Holy week. and you are right, so many things have changed with the way people celebrate this week. When I was younger, we will go to different church and do the Station of the Church, which is called Visita Iglesia. On thursday night, we will go to church, to attend a celebration, like a Last Supper. On Friday, we will attend a Seven Last words, on Saturday we will attend another celebration and wake up early on a Sunday to celebrate Easter. There are also few shows in the television. If there is a show, mostly it is still religious. But now, I seldom go to church on those days. But we do go to Antipolo just walking on Thursday night. And on television there are a lot of shows. Especially movies, mostly all channels now have shows. Maybe it is not just how we celebrate it. What matters most is are we really sincere in what we do. take care
