I never have this feeling before, but if you really get into it. I don't really like to cook before, until one day, my mom wants me to give it a try. I don't have cookbook to follow, and I just follow my moms instruction, step by step. Although I made a few mistakes, she found a way to make it right. After this experience, I found a chance to cook again, just for myself. It was fun, and I am getting better, more creative myself. Don't you have this feeling? Or do you learn to cook because it is one of your hobbies?

i love cooking - cooking is fun
Hi there clorissa123!I learned cooking at an early age. My dad is a great cook and he has always been my inspiration when it comes to cooking. My boyfriend is also a good cook and he has taught me a lot when it comes to cooking. Now cooking is really one of my hobbies. And if only I had enough time, I would love to invite my friends over and I would gladly cook for them this Christmas.

I think learning to cook is fun too, I'm still learning new ways to cook different things everyday. I didn't cook very much before I was married, so I didn't know if I'd be able to do it or not, but I knew I had to learn, I don't think my husband would want to eat out every night, it could get expensive. I'm alot better cook now than I was when we were first married, I'm more creative, and I love cookbooks, I'm always trying something new, my husband's my guinea pig..lol. I haven't heard him complain about anything yet, so I guess I'm doing something right. I think its one of my hobbies, I love watching Food Network and getting more ideas.

Hi, Yes you said it, learning to cook is really a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. The way how I learn how to cook, is that I search on the Internet for some good recipes, then I simple print them out. After that I go shopping for the right ingredients and come home and start cooking. Today I was about to make some scones but I didn't have any butter, I will go tomorrow and buy some. It is really simple to make, it only needs 3 ingredients besides the jam and whipped cream you put on the top. Then I memorize the recipes so if someone asks me if I know how to cook, I can answer saying that I can.

I don't remember when exactly I started to cook. But I do know I have a lot of fun when I cook today. Every time, when I have a chance, I will never let it go. Because I really enjoy it. Especially, somebody praises me that my cook is good.

Yeah, it is really fun and not very hard once you get the hang of it. And the reward of something coming out as good as you were hoping is a wonderful feeling!

When I was in high school I took two years of culinary arts and graduated with a certificate of culinary arts. I have continued to learn and grow with my cooking and baking skill and I truly enjoy being creative. I love to cook .. I love experiment and I love to go off the beaten track and not have a recipe and just create. Yummmm I love to cook.

Yea that's something that i've got to get into real bad. My wife cooks awesome so i've never really had to. I do try other things that i usually don't make every once in a while but i either end up burning it or is under cooked so i stick with the grill where a man knows where he can do the right thing.

Hi clorissa.Congratulations on your success in cooking.I like cooking, but i don't have many chances for cooking,as my mother is an excellent homemaker, she cooks very well,i just can do some simple help when cooking. She doesn't need me to cook because she can do it very well by herself and she is afraid of hurting me by the kitchen knife and the scalding oil.On the contrary,it might backfire when my help is incorrect. So i have formed the habit of laziness. But i do love cooking very much, love the feeling of the process during cooking.Sometimes.i tried to do that slinkingly, but i always burned my skin by the scalding oil ,it was very scared but full of fun.Enjoy your time in mylot!

I totally agree with you that learning how to cook is so much fun. I am doing such thing and i enjoy it a lot. Thought at first it may not taste so good but eventually with constant practice it becomes better. I love it when family appreciates what I cook and you can see how they enjoy eating on what I cook. I am trying to enhance my cooking skills now.

no. i don't think that cooking will be one of my hobby in the near future. cause food or ingredients here are quite expensive and i don't have the time to cook at home. and i have no time to learn or spend time to learn cooking.

If you cook occasionally, you do find it full of fun and creativity. But if you are forced to cook every day every meal, I'm afraid it will eventually become a burden. Anyway, try different way of cooking, it's fun! Congratulations, you've found another hobby.
