I have two daughters that are in cyber-school.One is about to graduate and the other just started. Sometimes I get alot of negative comments about my children attedning this type of school, however I think this was a very good option for both my daughters. Their grades are significantly better and they are overall more happy .I have many reasons why I put my daughters in. One reason is that my one daughter was being picked on everyday and nothing was being done. Now she is free of that. What are your opinions of cyber-school?

In all honesty I say whatever is BEST FOR THE CHILD!! I had ppl natter at me about my kids being homeschooled for two yrs but bottomline is, IT WAS BEST FOR THEM at that time....I'm actually considering doing online schooling myself sometime over the next yr or so simply becuase going to an actual school just isnt doable... Provided your kids are actually doing the work, understanding it and so on then who gives a good G-Damn what others think...they arent you, they arent your daughters....they need to shut the hell up IMO

Thank you very much for your comment. I agree with you. I think many ppl judge things they actuslly know nothing about. But even if ppl disagree that is fine with me but they should still respect what I have chosen to do for my children! And there definitely are benefits from doing online schooling for yourself too. Especially for those that cannot get out to go to the actual "school". Thank you again

I think many ppl judge things they actuslly know nothing about Oh most definately...and the comments some ppl come out with based on their lack of information can at times be laughable...I mean I heard it all from ppl when I pulled my kids out of school..the biggest one being that my kids would suffer because they wouldnt be able to socialize. Reality was they were MORE popular and socialize MORE when I homeschooled them because they didnt get to see the other kids during the school day...not to mention the usual weekend fun, birthday parties, playing at the park etc etc....People just dont think to ask question, educate themselves and so on before passing judgement...sad really...

I have never heard of cyber school but guess it is another form of home schooling. As parents we have the right to do what we think is beneficial for our children. Everyone has different reasons and circumstances and it is not fair of anyone else to judge. Good for you for doing what you feel is best for your children despite any oposition you recieve.

Quite frankly, if I were starting my family today, I seriously doubt I would put them into our public school systems, and private ones aren't much better anymore. If the cyber school is working out best for your daughter, then more power to both of you, and just ignore the comments people make. When they see the difference it makes in your daughter, they may just change their attitude!
