I miss "variety" shows.

Prime time tv used to have some good variety shows. Ed Sullivan was, of course, the classic, all time winner. But there were a lot of good ones on at different times. I know late night tv has some but I sure wish there were some on during Prime Time. I get real tired off 'reality' shows.

I hate these "reality" shows too. Will NOT watch them. I will watch real reality shows like Trama: Life in the E.R. or Animal Cops. I can't say I miss variety shows either, I do miss some of my old favorite dramas tho.

I don't watch the reality shows either. The few I have seen are as far from 'reality' as you can get, in my opinion. The variety shows I really miss, I guess a big part of that is having grown up with them. I do like the CSI type shows a lot. A couple of friends tell me they are grossed out by them but they will watch shows like 'fear factor', I just don't understand it at all.

That was a fun show. Did you like the Star Treks??? I loved the original, and I do enjoy most of the others. What my husband really likes are the old westerns. Not the Audy Murphy ones but most of the John Wayne type.

I love canadian and american idol, I don't miss it. So there still is variety shows, well that one is singing, but there are dancing shows like dancing with the stars and do you think you can dance, there are other variety shows, I forget the names of them though because I do not watch them.
