My dryer stopped working nearly two weeks ago. We have a service agreement with Sears so I called them immediately when I discovered the problem. Of course they would not send the man until today, and I was informed that he'd be here between 8am and 12pm. It's now 1pm and guess what? He hasn't shown up yet. Whenever we need sears to service something, they crew up by not showing up, claiming I wasn't home when I was and they have even gone so far as to say my house wasn't there! REALLY! SO now I have been waiting five hours, one hour past eh latest time he was supposed to arrive. I have called sears repeatedly to make sure this guy actually comes since they have such a terrible track record with me. One CSR told me that if he calls and I don't get to the phone, he will assume I am not home and cancel the appointment, well I gave her an earful! Why should I have to wait another two weeks for this jackass to show up if he happens to call while I am in the bathroom or something? I have sat here for five hours now, not even getting to take a shower, to ensure that I am here when the idiot decides to call or show up and I am pissed. Don't you hate waiting for repair people who make you clear your entire calender for a day and then don't freaking even bother to show up? If he doesn't come today, I am going to send sears a bill for my wasted time.

"I'm going to send sears a bill for my wasted time". LOL Wish I'd thought of that when I was waiting for Sears myself! Maybe if more people did that Sears would up the performance of it's repair men. And perhaps an investment in a cordless phone at Sears expense would solve the 'in the bathroom when he calls' problem? LOL If Sears got enough of those kind of 'bills' they might just wise up. Repairmen have way too much arrogance!

I think even if he DOES show up I may send them a bill, since he is already past his "between 8-12" deadline. It's after one pm here.

And you can bet he'll be full of excuses for the time over-run and expect you to just suck it up................So yeah, bill Sears. Get the Head Office address and send them a letter about the value of YOUR time and an appropriate bill for same. Might even make the nightly news! LOL

Well the guy showed up at 2 but he actually did fix the dryer (they usually leave without fixing due to not having thew needed part). Hubby got him when he arrived and took him to the laundry room via the outside door - thus sparing the man my rage. Since it's fixed now, I am happy - until the NEXT TIME I need a sears repair, then there is gonna be a fight!

sears..i'll never use them again. i have a huge beef with those people. they woke up my dad every day for a month when he was dying.. they wouldn't tell me what he owed so i could pay it.when they finally did,it was over 14 dollars. needless to say, they lost a 30 year account, which i promptly cancelled on his decease.
