Twittering

I have heard abut "Twittering", but I really don't understand it. Can anyone explain it to me in simple terms? Sometimes I just am not up on all this new stuff that keeps coming out. I still don't even understand Blogging and now we have Twittering. I think I am hopeless!

I began using Twitter earlier this year. It allows people to make brief announcements and tell others what they're doing. My Twitter friends list includes people from all over the country, including a staff member from a talk show and a few news reporters.

But where do you twitter? Is it a site like FaceBook or what?
