Shouldn't we discipline our children even more?

The other way I went to the gas station to fill up some gasoline. There were four youngsters, who seems to be around 14 to 16 years old. They were begging me to buy them a pack of cigarette, by offering me $10. I refused it, because I don't want to get into trouble. Their parents should take responsibility on it. Don't you think that we should discipline these children strictly?

You are right to one extent, but it is near impossible to completely get into ones life.for example my parent don't know what i do in college, they have faith in me and i don't let them down.there should be mutual understanding and realization of responsibilities. Even if i do something wrong in my college they would be least aware of the incident. so the question is who is to blame??? I say,for such people, let them do what they do....and there is a guarantee that one day or the other they will and i mean they will definitely learn it the hard way. But if they cross your paths then you are to take necessary actions. If those boys approached you and the situation became a bit more physical then you could do something about it.
