Fruit is my favorite. So fresh and healthy.I like to buy some fruits like apples, pears, avocadoes and limes and store it in a refrigerator. But i wonder how to keep those stay fresh because sometimes those fruits especially avocado become ripe so quickly and rotten just in a few days.Do somebody can help me about this case?

If you keep the fruits as they are in the fridge they become dry because fridge has the tendency to take away moisture from any item. we will get small bags in the market in which you can store fruits so that they dont become dry. you have to keep fruits closed in a plastic or those bags that are available in the market, else you cant store them for more then two days, anyways, its always better to consume fruits in two or three days span of time , you can maximum keep for a week and not more than that is what i feel.

you can try to put your fruits separately in a zip lock bag before putting it in refrigerator for a longer shelf life.

That's a good question, well for me i do keep aside ripe fruits because they release ripe stimulant ethylene on other fruits. Keep them on a separate crisper like the veggies. Store them in plastic bags so that the humidity level are optimal for freshness. Inspect your crisper carefully. Throw away damaged, bruised or moldy fruit to help save the rest of your produce. Make sure that the fruit are steadily kept at a temperature 34 degrees F. And to stop premature discoloration, here is the trick, peel and cut fruit. Fill a large bowl with 1 qt. of water and add 1 tbsp. of salt or two crushed vitamin C pills. Dunk the fruit pieces into the water. You may also juice a lemon, put the juice on a plate and toss cut pieces of fruit in the lemon juice to preserve its natural color. I hope this helps you. Happy Mylotting!

Some fruits like bananas and kiwis give off a gas as they mature, which causes other fruit nearby to ripen more quickly. If you buy these fruits I recommend that you store them separately, so that the rest of your fruit doesn't become over-ripe too quickly.

in my observation fruits can be stored up to two weeks inside the fridge. put it inside air tight containers. if you wash it before you store wipe it first with paper towels. welcome to mylot hope you like it here like the most of us do. hope to see more of your discussions around. have a nice day.
