Prego Teens/Teen Parents Participating in School Extra-Curricular Activities

When I was in school if a teen (boy or girl) had a baby they could no longer participate in school extra activities such as sports because they had a bigger responsibilty at home. Now it seems like kids are popping out babies and hitting the basketball court the next week. I feel that this does not provide a deterrant for teen pregnancy, how to you feel?

I quite agree they need to do something to deter it. but I dont know how they can deter it these days. they would have to come up with very strict rules and go by those rules. just like people on wellfare. some have babies just to get that check every month and they dont have to work. which is just taking taxpayer money.

Your right! I really don't think that there is much to deter it these days. I actually asked my old principal which is still the principal of the high school where I graduated why they allow this and he said he has no choice. One parent tried to sue for discrimination! What will our nation be like in another 10-15 years?

Well the way it is going with kids these days. might be like the old west when they were married by the time they were 15 and had kids by the time they are 16. (talking mid 1800's) The only way to prevent it would be for the parrents to buy their daughter a chasity belt to prevent it andd even that is old fashion.

It doesn't matter what you do I don't think anything would be a deterrant for teens. Remember society says do whatever makes you feel good. Also look at all the single parent homes. There is no structure, communication, and the parent is always working leaving the teen to do whatever they want. Even the rich are having to deal with this with there teens because they are never at home and just give the kids cars, money, freedom and no curfew. God Bless
