When was the last time you tried a new recipe?

It is a co-worker's birthday today and I made cupcakes to celebrate. The request was actually for a lemon tart but the closest I could find in my zillions of cookbooks was lemon cupcakes. So that's what I made. I just made one batch so if they didn't come out very well I could just dump it. But I asked my husband to taste test for me and I turned around and the cupcake was gone! So I'm thinking he liked it...
It was fun trying something new and having it turn out well - when was the last time you tried a new recipe - care to share it? I'd love to hear about it!

the last recipe i tried was potatoes in the oven. you wash some four or five potatoes, without peeling it. you cut them in the middle, make a hole, put in it salt, pepper, butter. wrap them in aluminium and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. they are very tastful and easy to made.

I tried a new recipie this weekend. It was something that was on Oprah.com. It was a recipe tht was prsented by Cat Cora the celebrity chef. She has been on Food Network
She has most recently been on the Iron Chef program. I liked the recipe. It was very good and had allot of flavor.

hmmm, it was last saturday night.
i always ate casssave cake but i never really made it myself so i decided to make one and got the recipe online. it tasted really nice and i'm glad of the outcome. everyday i am looking for recipes for my blog to post so i can also serve different kinds of meals to my husband from work.

Good for you - I've never even heard of that cake but I'm so glad it tasted delicious! Sometimes I'm hesitant to try recipes from the internet because I've had experiences where they're not so good... I'm glad yours turned out well. Thanks for the response.
