Slumdog Millionaire is a british film directed by Danny Boyle and co directed in India by Loveleen Tandan. It is an adaptation of the novel Q&A by indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup.Even though the film is a very good entertainer, i don't think it had the element to win 8 oscars, the best film mainly,as i think THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON really deserved that one.Anyway i am happy that the music maestro A.R.Rahaman got recoginition in the international level through oscars even though it was not his best composition.he had done much better compositions even before.

Hello insanealan! I have heard a lot about this movie and that I saw the Oscars and got amazed that Slumdog Millionaire got many awards. I got interested in watching the movie then. As a filipino, I actually like it and I think it really deserves to win. It's not boring to me.

hello, it deserves some oscars but definitely not that much. I've seen the movie myself and I believe it's over-rated. Okay, maybe not over-rated but Extremely over-rated. ;)

yes i do believe that its one of the best movies which i have seen so far.the movie does not have any unnecessary songs-the characters have played their role perfectly.the song jai ho is quite good. would encourage such movies in future. something very meaningful.

Well I dont know if it deserved to win this amount of awards since I never saw it. But im guessing it probally didnt deserve to get all these awards. I knew this movie would get some awards since movies like this always gets an award or two but 8 I was actually pretty shocked.

I know why you are asking this question ?? Most Indians would find this Movie quite boring . This is more in the genre called art movies. The purpose of such movies is to show reality rather than entertain. I found the acting in the movie powerful, but was too slow paced for my liking. Entire western world is biased in its thinking towards India. If a movie shows the backwardness of India it is more appreciated & applauded in the western world. Adiga's white tiger won the bookers prize for the same reason. One thing that certainly deserved Oscar was the music of AR Rahman. Even here in my opinion he has given better tunes in Dil Se & Roja & bombay.
