My 8 year old daughter is still wetting and pooping her pants

we have been back and forth to the Dr. for years. The Urologist says her bladder contracts and that she is constipated and that is why the poop comes out in her pants at night. All of this goes on while she is sleeping. She doesn't have accidents in the day. That is why it is really scary because it has to be medical since it happens while she is asleep. The Dr. says I shouls give her Miralax(adult laxative) every day. Well, this also worries me because I read how dangerous a laxative can be especially for an 8 year old. My husband assumes that because a Dr. said it, it must be safe. I do not feel this way. Please, is there any one out there having this problem. The poop is always mushy and she says she never even feels it coming out.She does not poop on a regular basis during the day, so I have been giving her a fiber supplement to try and get her rugular. I am just very worried that she is 8 and this has been going on gor years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be careful some doctors treat it with sleeping pills so she would have deep sleep and after sometime will forget

she already has an extremely deep sleep. I think this is why she does not awaken to go potty.

force her to go to potty just before going to bed this is the best way to get rid of that habit

My neighbor's daughter had this problem, doctors gave her so many types of medicines, nothing worked, lastly she approached a homoeopat doctor, who gave her some medicines, she was also advised by a accupressre specialist to press tip of the little finger of her daughter 10-20 times in quick sucession lol it worked, the girl quit wetting her pants in 10 days thanks for sharing god bless kalyani

My son is 8, he has never really pooped the bed, at least not since he was 1 or 2. This morning he was awoke by the incident. (sh) It then happened again tonight after he fell asleep. I am concerned. Could this be a symptom of "pin worms"? Any help would be sweet. Thanks
