trying to kill the baby in your womb?

A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: "Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My
baby is not even 1 yr. old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so
close together."
So the doctor said: "Ok and what do you want me to do?"
She said: "I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help
with this."
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the
lady: "I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less
dangerous for you too."
She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.
Then he continued:"You see, in order for you not to have to take care
of 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you
could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of
them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your
body if you chose the one in your arms."
The lady was horrified and said:"No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime
to kill a child!"
"I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be ok with it, so I
thought maybe that was the best solution. "
The doctor smiled, realizing that
he had made his point.
He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child
that's already been born and one that's still in the womb.
The crime is the same!

Actually, it's not. The child in her arms has rights. The child in her womb does not. It is not even close to the same thing. I'm a cop. I can't arrest you for "murdering" your fetus. I can arrest you for murdering your already born child.
I doubt if I could ever willingly abort a pregnancy, but that doesn't mean that it's wrong. Abortion is not murder. It's a personal choice best left up to the woman who has to decide whether to get one or not.
I've seen that poem before. It's about as bad as the 10 inch 1 month old fetus talking to "Mommy" before it starts screaming as it's being aborted at month 6 or something.
Plus the doctor should have kept his trap shut. He had no business telling a story like that anyway.

4th month - nothing

Finally, a voice of reason. I'm pretty tired of all the glurgey fetus poems too.
There is a HUGE legal and moral difference between murdering a child and aborting a fetus. As the old cliche goes, an acorn is not an oak tree.

A life is a life... even if the child isn't born yet, it still has a heartbeat.
I wish more people saw it like this... its the truth...

They charged that one man with 2 murders... he killed his wife & she was pregnant, so he was charged with her murder & his unborn... so you would think people would understand... (I believe it was the LAcy Petterson Case & many others..)

It was the Laci Peterson case. A bunch of my co-workers and I were in Modesto helping during the search for her. I live in San Jose and the call for volunteers came through most all of the police departments. I stayed a couple days and did what I could.

Wow!!
What a way to teach a lesson to someone without sounding rude? People should make their minds up whether they want a baby or not and use protection accordingly. Once a baby is there in the womb, it should never be killed. All the senseless people out there who want to kill a baby should read this and realize what they were about to do.

Wow he did a good job putting the facts to her and making her realize what she was doing. I have 2 girls that are 11 months apart they were also born in the same year.

Wow!! That doctor was awesome. I am glad he got throught to that lady. I wish more people would think that way. All babies deserve to experience life. If you don't or can't care for the child yourself, give them to someone who can. There are many people out there that cannot have children that would be happy to adopt them.

This is an excellent story so thank you so very much for sharing it. I think it is sad when a mother has love for the child in her arms that was born one year ago but not for the little baby growing inside her womb. Just because the baby can't be seen or heard doesn't mean to say he or she is unimportant. I think that the aborted babies are the missing people of the world. I am sure many of them would have been great people. I watched a documentary and a lady that was already a mother to two young children went ahead and had her third one aborted. she found it difficult to stop crying afterwards maybe because she felt terrible regret. I am currently pregnant and I felt joy seeing my dear little baby girl on the ultra sound scans. It is against the law for a person to kill a baby or child that has been born so it is strange that it is legal to kill one in the womb. I have a 22 month old son and I am currently 25 weeks pregnant. My other son is almost 14 years old so I am pleased that my second and third child will be so close together in age.

I think that I have to agree with the doctor, I don't know if this is a true story or just a little inspiration, but I hope that more doctors will say this and more women will listen. I'm not even sure but I think it's illegal here in the US to abort.

i would like to thank you for a wonderful post. there is a good lesson hidden i your post. that is important for all of us . the doctor has given a nice soultion to the lady that she bound to take her new baby. some times the young women always think in this brutal way. this is also a same crime to kill a person.

Hey there! The doctor has good point and he let the woman know about it. It really doesnt matter which one they kill. It's ironic that the woman doesn't want to kill the one in her arms while she is willing to give up the other one in her whomb. Yes, the crime is the same. Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

Yeah...no. There is a huge difference between murdering a child and aborting a fetus and to suggest otherwise is intellectually dishonest. The doctor in this story is seriously downplaying the effects that a pregnancy can have on a woman.

That doctor is crazy. I dont know what to think. Plus how can he compare like alive child and fetus that cop is right he cant arrest ur for killing fetus but he can for the born baby. I believe in some cultures it is allowed to do abortus i f fetus isnt a 2 monts older

This is a Great comment here from the doctor, and kudos to him. Personally I wish there was more Doctors that could say things like this to more people out there, and get more people to really think. I sometimes think with the Easy Birth control methods that are out there for people, especially when a Mother is married she needs to do this if she does not want more kids, and if she is unmarried it should be a necessity so we can keep from having to support more unwanted kids as well. It is a hard thing for sure, but why allow yourself a chance to get pregnant unless it is really something you want and can afford for sure.

Whoa! I totally agree with you there, but you have dropped yourself a nice little bombshell! Haha. Well, my oldest was 2 when I found out I was pregnant with my second child. Then my second child was 15 months when I found out I was pregnant with my 3 child. He is now 15 months and I'm not pregnant now! Haha. Anyhow, but, I do totally agree that it is a crime to kill a child, born or not. Good luck!

Well my opinion for that is that the doctor wants to realize the lady how important is a life of a human being.He sets an example that the baby in her arms to be kill for her not to have risk in her body.But she disagree with the idea that the doctor say.See what life is important.We should realize that if we do something we should stand for it.Aborting a life is not considerable.

this is a very nice write up my friend. and i know many people will be able to see the point of such post. its nice to read and at the same time learn from it. and i know that this could be a great help to everyone here in mylot. its reallt guiding and it adds up more on how important life is. because such life is a blessing even if we didnt expect them to be.
