I may be blind or dense, but I am not able to see how to accept a task.

I clicked on a task. Researched it, wrote the required number of lines and paragraphs in Word and then went back to the task page. I cannot find the task to copy and paste my article into it. I must not have accepted it. I have checked the FAQ page, and cannot find instructions anywhere on how to accept a task. Can anyone help me? I really want to do this.

I'm sitting on ANGER right now. I looked at a task and didn't accept it first. I researched and wrote a great article. When I went to accept it my stupid DSL went out. When it came right back on, the task is NO longer there. I was so mad I could have chewed 10 penny nails as they used to say! Looks like you and I must have done the same thing! Very frustrating! I did take another task, and have sent it in with no problems. Just waiting to see if it is accepted. The way I did was keep the page on my monitor while I wrote in Word and then just pasted it in there. IF it is accepted when you hit accept task, a white box will then appear for you to paste into when you come back.

Well, now that I've closed the page, I have no idea how to get back to the task page. Got any ideas? Guess I wasn't paying too much attention when I read the thing.

There are only so many of each tasks, so perhaps we lost out while we were writing. But it does upset me when this happens.

I would contact Mylot, reguardless of whether or not you accepted the task, it should be here. I haven't tried because the task starts with downloading a toolbar and that usually spells trouble for my computer, I have enough toolbars already. I hope someone else can help you. I'm waiting for a tast that is more acceptable to me.

I just read #4's answer above, sounds like quite the juggling act to make it work. The tast I see says 100 offers, so how do you know how many people have answered it? A person could be writing for nothing.

I requested "SharonBucks" as a friend, hoping that I can then ask questions directly. There are lots of tasks besides the toolbar. I did not do that one either.

Good idea to ask for her as a friend! That's all that is coming up when I hit tasks, just the tool bar. I don't see anything else. Maybe I can page down or something, but I thought that's all there was. I'll try again. Maybe people have been answering so quickly that they're out of a lot of topics now? I'll see. Thanks and take care.

I think you have to "accept task" before you can put anything in.

I had a heck of a day, and it is not really over yet. I still want to see if I can accept a task. If I can do three of them or four, then I would have payout easily every month.

You know, I did the exact same thing. I wrote this whole thing on a scanner, and when I went to stick it into the box provided, it would not accept it. So....I refreshed the page and something totally different came up! Then I went into the tasks lists and hunted all over for it and cannot find it...it's like it doesn't exist! I even tried doing an internal myLot search and couldn't find it again. The only search results that came up were sponsored results. I saved it in notepad lol. Maybe I'll find it again (but it doesn't look too hopeful hahaha) I'm not sure about how to accept either. Seems like there should be some directions that are more explanatory. Also, it would be nice if the person who's sticking these up there would have a little more than the exact same 'write (4) paragraphs about a provided topic.' If it's the crib, scanner, high chair, etc, then it should say it in the part of the post we can see. I've just spent a total of 45 minutes trying this task deal, and most of it was spent searching for the original post. (Yes...I went through ALL those pages lol!!!) I quit! Too bad, I have a nice write-up too, but I doubt it'll ever get submitted now!

Joyful, I did the internal search as well.Same results. To find out about the four paragraphs look at the tags, that will tell you topic. I do not have time until tonight to try more. Good luck all.

Thanks you two :-) I did try adding the tags that were given, but it still only came up with sponsored results. Barb, thanks for the reminder, I forgot about PayPerPost. Maybe I'll try another one here later.

If everyone is having so much trouble with this "task" thing, I think I will just skip it until all the bugs are ironed out. It sounds way too complicated for my feeble brain. Best wishes!

You have a pretty good writing presence already. I know money is always nice to have, but you do good at what you are doing.

I went to one of them, and checked it out. There was a box for you to put content in and a accept task button. I am not going to do anything with it until I get back from my sons surgery, as we leave Wed.. Good luck and hope all the bugs are worked out by then.

Personally I have not been able to figure out the Tasks thing for sure. I think they need to explain it more for us, etc. and give us more of a chance to post back to it. And for those of us who work days most of the time when I get home from work and want to post back on any of the Tasks there is not many left there as well. So I am not sure what we are to do on it for sure.

So far all that interests me is the writing. They will give you a topic, plus some key words or phrases. You write four paragraphs that hang together about the topic, using the key words and phrases in what you write. Total of twelve to sixteen sentences. For instance if the topic was stuffed toys, the key words might be toys, stuffed animals, soft toys. These topics appear to be stuff you might buy online.
