Hey,people! Yesterday i was reading a conversation in a forum and i came across this paragraph posted by one of the members..it said "some people are just too close for comfort." i was trying my best to understand what it means but really, i was clueless. Now i admit that i am not good in constructing sentences and i lack vocabulary knowledge thus i always have a hard time explaining and expressing my real thoughts to other people. So, now i am asking you guys a favor. kindly post whatever idioms you have in mind (is it even called idioms?) and post it's meaning.. And can you tell me what does "too close for comfort" mean? I hope you guys can help me.Thanks in advance!

well for me i try to interpret idioms the way i understand it. sometimes we want some space, and to be left alone right? so people who intrude in our privacy, usually when we do not want them to, can be too close for comfort. or when people are assuming to be close friends with us and who offer unsolicited advice can be too close for comfort, when some people are sort of invading our privacy, well that is my understanding. correct me if i am wrong =)

it can be that they came close to getting into an accident and it was too close for them to be comfortable. or like coming really close to something bad that they you dont feel comfortable with it
