Left overs from dinner which

do you do more? Eat them for lunch the next day, or dinner the next day. Or do you have a leftover night once a week. In my family growing up we had a leftover night. But these days, my hubby seems to eat the leftovers more than anyone else in the house. Except, that is, for chili. What is your favorite left over meal?

I normally eat them for lunch the following day unless there is enough leftover for another meal. Then I will sometimes have them again for dinner not the next night, but the night after.

If we have plenty of leftovers, we used to store it on fridge and take it on the next days, and if its just a small amount of leftovers, our dogs can already handle it.

There are no favourite left overs in our home...though there are a few dishes which everyone likes and don't mind as leftovers. We usually have leftovers the next day for lunch or dinner. We don't have a left over week....but I remember my mother doing it when I was a child.

My husband baked a turkey 1 Sunday. We ate off of it that day and he picked the rest of the meat off of it and put it in a ziploc the kids loved eating it just like that but we made a salad with it and then some brown gravy and put the turkey meat in it and put it over rice and it was so yummy. We ate off of that the whole week. Since it was different things made out of the meat we ate it for lunch and dinner. I want to do it again using chicken. It made life easier lol. As far as regular left overs we eat them whenever but alot of times we don't have much leftovers. We try and cook only want we need b/c it does tend to go bad sitting in the fridge forgotten

We prefer eating them for lunch so that we'd have a new meal for dinner :D Sometimes we'd even have them for breakfast if we were looking for something heavy. However, my family has been eating vegetable salad for quite a while now and that's what we mostly have for both breakfast and dinner :P (at least that's what we have when I visit them in the weekends :P). Thanks for the response on my discussion! I'm sorry to say that it got deleted because of a referral link response from another member.

It is all according to the left overs and how much is left over! If I have a lot left over then I will make another entire meal out of it, but Never the following day, I don't like to eat or serve the same thing 2 days in a row, so normally if there is enough for an entire meal then left overs will be served not the next day but the day after. If I do not have enough left over for an entire meal then it will usually be served and eaten for lunches. I can't really tell you what I like left over the best as there are a lot that I like left over but one of my favorites happens to be the chili that you mentioned!

We usually put them down in the freezer and have them a couple of nights or a few days later on. Most of the time, we have the leftovers on Sunday. That reminds me, I have some lasagna over. So I might have that either tomorrow or the next day. I also eat leftovers for lunch the next day if there is not enough for both of us. And sometimes I make double portions or rather I still make them for four people instead of two as I should do now.

While growing up we also had left over night once a week. We also had fast food night every Friday. My husband doesn't like having the same meal twice in the same week though. Certain things he's fine with having for lunch the next day, like most hamburger helper meals, or taco meat, or things that he really likes. But anything else I have to make into a completely different meal for him to have twice the same week. For instance last week I made a turkey, then a few days later it was turkey sandwiches. That he's fine with, so long as it's something different. So normally my little ones and I try to finish off our left overs for lunch.

I do believe in left overs. We have more leftover nights now that we really have to stretch the dollar. It is becoming harder in life just to get by and we all probably need to do the best we can to make our food and money last. I don't see anything wrong with putting some food into the freezer and saving it for a later time when things get lean. If I had to pick a favorite left over dinner I would probably choose spaghetti and sauce. That is always something good to look forward to for me.

I like leftover chili or spaghetti. We usually have a leftover night and use up the leftovers from a couple of days. Kinda like a buffet lol.

It really depends on what I cook how I use the leftovers! If I make a big roasted chicken or turkey (which I often do!) the leftover possibilies are endless... If we have pizza or something, I am lucky if I ever see it again! On the other hand I like to make a big pot of chili or stew, because then only my husband and I will eat the leftovers. I usually do mine at lunchtime. Thanks for the question and have a great day!

It seems I am always forever cooking to much for me and my hubby I guess that comes from being taught to cook for a large family while I was growing up..But we always have leftovers in my fridge which we don't eat if they been in there longer then 2-3 days tops. But I have many favorites that I love to reheat..as leftovers sometimes when the hungry bug hits me for a midnight snack or for breakfast, lunch, or dinner the next day. I have a few that are favorites Pizza,Spaghetti,Lasagna, and chili are my absolute favorite leftovers that I just can't resist..the other stuff like meatloaf, steaks, roast now those mainly stick around for supper times.

Hello! Usually we cook our foods fresh every time.Of course sometimes some foods are spared for some reason. We preserve the leftovers in the fridge for consumption next time.We never throw away the foods because things have become costlier. So we have to consume what we cook everyday.thanx.

Saturday evening is left over night in our house. I don't usually cook a meal on Saturdays. Everyone is on their own! We call it "celaning out the fridge night" It's just a potluck aroundhere on that night. If it looks good try it! LOL I usually throw out what isn't eaten by the end of the day which with this crew is not much!
