Osteoporosis And Coke

This has always been my favorite beverage. However, I drink diet coke most of the time these days. I only drink regular coke (or coke classic) when I go out to eat, at potluck at church, or holidays. These are the times I just eat or drink whatever I want. In other words, I just enjoy myself. Most of the time, I watch what I eat because I'm concerned about gaining weight. I'm also aware that drinking too many cokes is not good for you. As a matter of fact, when I was a child I preferred coke or iced tea to milk. My parents tried their best to get me to drink more milk but to no avail. I'm having to pay for it now because I found out nine years ago that I'm at risk for osteoporosis. Of course, I'm aware that osteoporosis is also hereditary. My mother also had it. She didn't drink as many cokes as I did. I think her mother (my grandmother) also had it because I remember how humped over in her back she got. However, nobody knew anything about osteoporosis back then. I'm also aware that you can still get osteoporosis no matter how much milk you drink and there are also other factors to consider such as exercise, which I try to do everyday. I have been on Fosamax once a week for nine years.
