Boys Over Flowers - Which adaptation do you prefer?

Hana Yori Dango, Meteor Garden and Kkotboda Namja (Boys Over Flowers) are adaptations of a popular Japanese Manga. Each of them have become a big hit in several countries. Even China is joining the bandwagon and has casted already their own F4 boys. But out of these versions, I still prefer the latest one, the korean version of BOF. At first, I wanted my favorite korean actors to be casted when the news came out. I preferred the likes of Lee Dong Wook and Hyun Bin to play the part. I didn't know Lee Min Ho at that time. But after watching a few episodes of this series, I got hooked with Lee MinHo. He is really suited for the character. I've even grown to love the other actors as well. I think that the korean management did a great job in the casting of these actors. The korean version I think is superior in all aspects of the series. The cast, clothes and scenery. Although of course I would have wanted a more passionate Goo Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di just like Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai. What do you think? :)

Wow! You finished Hana Yori Dango in 2 days! Both seasons? I was gonna watch Hana Yori Dango today but bumped into a korean drama entitled The World They Live In which stars my favorite actress Song Hye Kyo and a good actor Hyung Bin (hope I spelled that right:) ) and just viewed the first episode and then I became curious and now I am still watching it. haha. I just really want to watch the best for the long vacation.:)

Finally I got to watch and finish the Korean version (which left me less sleep going to office) and I love this version too. I have not seen Hana Yori Dango (the japanese version yet) so I could just compare Meteor Garden and Boys over Flower. I agree with you that the korean production staffs did a great job in casting and like you I thought before that my favorite actors and actress will be in this version and like you too I love Lee Min Ho who looks very handsome ESPECIALLY when he smiles. I love the scenery, the shots abroad, like in Macau and New Caledonia. Love their outfits and the music even though I can not understand, I love the songs! And if Gu Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di were like Dao MIng Si and Shan Cai in terms of passion i would really love this much more. I think since this version had come later, the korean management and especially script writers picked the right scenes and added some twist to the older versions and tried to mix and match. The arrangement of the scenes were great. So I just had one version left to watch and i think I sleep in the meantime before watching the japanese version or else I might get kicked out in the office.:)

You had already watched the japanese version right? Is it the worst among the three? Maybe I'll watch the Tagalog dubbed (my native language) Boys over Flower. I am currently downloading some music videos which I enjoy watching especially Paradise (like a dance song) and Stand by Me.
