Which phone brand do you prefer?

I use to prefer Nokia phones to other brand because they are very user friendly. The down side is that Nokia phones are too common, their prices go down very fast and it's hard to find a nokia phone which has all the features that I want. Now I use a Sony ericcson phone. Since I have started using sony ericcson phones, I have lost interest in purchasing a Nokia phone. What phone brand do you prefer?

I am also using P1i. Though it is hard to navigate it while travelling. I lost both my stylus and had a hard time using the phone without it. It is a necessity when using P1i. Thanks for the response

oh definitely nokia.it has the most user friendly models, i think that even people who are not so techie can get used to their phones which is very important. of course, a phone gadget must be usable first for calling or texting before the other aspects

It's true that nokia phones are very user friendly. Even my Grandmother uses a nokia phone. That's the good thing about nokia, it's not too hard to operate. But I get bored with it very easily. Thanks for the response

Well actually I prefer both, as both products have their own advantages and disadvantages. Nokia has larger fonts, more user-friendly and faster interface, faster messaging, very stable OS but tends to have a bulkier phone. Sony Ericssion is sleek, its design more advanced and refined with funkier colors, but suffers from a slower OS, which causes lag in the messaging and somehow the OS loves to reboot itself for no reason once in a while, causing disruption to my calls and messaging. However on the other hand, Nokia has a very attractive music download service that is affordable (a rival against iTunes and a tried-and-tested GPS system).

Well Nokia is fairly easy to use even for first time users, they have user friendly menus. Seems sony erricson fones are really good as other respondents to this discussion claim. Might take a few to learn the way around sony erricson but seems sony is doing a great job after all. My mother had one but there was a malfunction in the keypad or something and it was more expensive to have it fixed.

IF I have a phone, (which I don't, not right now) I prefer Samsung. Price is steeper compared to Nokia, but durability and functionality is top of its class. Plus, Samsung phones more aesthetically appealing for me than Nokia or Sony Ericsson, which are two of the most commonly used brands here in our country. But that's just my two cents.

I have the same experience with you. From 2004 to 2008 I used a NOKIA phone. I found the menu very easy and convenient to use. When I met my husband, he introduce to me Sony Ericsson by giving me a cellphone during my birthday last 2008. So I used Sony Ericsson since then. Until now I am still using Sony Ericsson cellphone because like you I think Nokia is very common and the price and value depreciates faster than other brands. I think every half year, a big discount is slashed on every Nokia phone unlike Sony Ericsson phones where he value does not go down faster. Now I prefer the menu of Sony Ericsson more than Nokia and I don't even want to try other phones even if they are good and new. My husband also used Sony Ericsson for a long time not until yesterday where he bought the Nokia E71 which according to him is a very good phone. I tried it myself, the shifting is so smooth and the menu is okay. Although I know it will take a long time for me to learn it again, my husband is very happy because the phone has almost everything. For him that is complete, with wi-fi, GPS and can read emails. It has even a bar code reader and voice command. I am happy for him but I still wish to have the Sony Ericsson T700.

Nokia. It's very user friendly and the features are nice. But, in terms of the models they often release new models making the other models outdated already even though it was only released for months.

Usually I don't prefer any brand. Most important whether it is user friendly or not. I dont like siemens phones because they are very complicated to use.Samsung,Nokia,LG are prefered.Last but not least the style is also important.Yes,you are right but Sony Ericsson phones are also sometimes complicated(at least for me).:)

I'd still go with Nokia phones. :) Already tried sony ericsson, motorola, china phones, and samsung. Still nothing beats Nokia for me! Not only it's user friendly but also longer life-span. If you can still remember Nokia 3310, up until now my cousin got it years ago but still up and kicking! Also it's compatibility is incomparable base on my own perspective. You also said that their prices depreciates on a fast phase, therefore having a lower cost purchasing it. I do not care if it'll be an old model of Nokia as long as it gives me the features I want, it's fine with me.

I've worked for T-Mobile for a number of years now and know the ins and outs regarding phones myself, therefore i know what mobile phones to choose and what not to choose. Each manufacturer at the moment seem very inconsistent with their products. There are so many different software faults with most phones now it's hard to choose a specific manufacturer to go with. I have been with Sony Ericssons for quite a few years now, but considering changing due to my latest phone, which really is poor.

But my personal opinion i always prefer to NOKIA, because NOKIA can be said the king of the mobile phones. In indian we can see a vast market of nokia users. Nokia in my knowledge is best mobile phone which can provide longer battery backup and very simple to learn its use.
