Well today was a very bad day for me. A few months back i met a girl and she became my best friend now. Together we had so much fun. And also had so many good moments which i can treasure. We made many jokes about us. But today she did not like one of my joke. Well i agree that it was not a good one. But she knows me how i am. She got mad at me. And also said somethings which i never imagined that she could say to me. It hurt me a lot. Well everything came back to normal a few hours back. But still i can't forget her sayings. I don't know why!!! Still having the same bad feelings about that joke that i made and she made me realize that she was hurt from my joke. Before this none of my friends ever were able to hurt me. She is the only one and i must say i was hurt badly. Never faced this kind of situation before and don't know how to deal with it. So any tips on how to deal with it??? Also any bad experience like me? Please share

It seems she is no ordinary friend but someone that has penetrated the core of your heart otherwise you will not be hurt by her action towards you. It may be an eye opener for you to read your own heart and do not take this warning lightly as the hurt that you are feeling now may be a blessing in disguise and needs further nurturing. You may be in love with your supposedly best friend. The lovebug is slowly seeping inside you without you realizing it. Please see Dr Love, he knows best which virus is troubling you.

I have no doubt..you are in love but maybe still in the infant stage. Stop confusing yourself and learn to be more romantic towards here. So it will be sunshine everyday.

A few of my friends has hurt me in one way or another and I tell them how I feel as soon as we are alone. I have never been in the same situation wherein I was hurt really bad. But the only you can do is to apologize for what you did and if you really are hurt with how she talked to you, you should tell her and ask her and if she really meant the things she said.

Nah. She did not mean it. She was just too mad at me. That's why she behaved like that. Now everything is fine and changed also.

I'm sorry you got hurt especially by your best friend. I have been hurt by my best friend. She didn't invite me to her wedding or even tell me about it until a few months later. I was devistated. She had been my maid of honor in my first wedding and I always told her everything before anyone, including my family. She has inly recently explained to me why she did things that way but it still hurts 3 years later. If you and she have made up and things are back to normal, you shoukd try to let it go and realize that she just said those things out of anger or being hurt. If you can't let it go, talk to her about it. Good luck to you.

Hello camomom, nice to see you again. Well we had a long talk about this matter yesterday and both of us were sorry for what happened. This way we could know each other better. And also the bond between us went strong. Now i am worried about something else.lol

Great to see you too. I'm glad that you talked and got past it. Would you possibly be worried about stronger feelings developing? You don't have to answer that but it seems that in order for you to be hurt so deeply, there must be some pretty strong feelings there. Being best friends first is the best way to start something more. If I'm wrong, I apologize for bringing it up. That's just the impression I got from reading your post. Best wishes to you no matter what you're worried about.

Well, I've been reading all the posts in this discussion, and it looks like things have been developing a bit between you and your friend. I'm glad you realised your true feelings for oneanother. But from some of the things you wrote it doesn't sound very hopeful. I'm sorry if it didn't work out for you; unrequited love is a horrible thing. I hope that it doesn't affect your friendship too much, although it's understandable that it might. Maybe one day things will change, you never know what will happen in life. To answer your question, yes, I have been hurt by a best friend. We were friends for a long time, then our lives went different ways and we weren't so close, but still saw eachother sometimes. Then a few years ago there were a few times when she got drunk and told me some 'truths' about what she thought of some of my other friends and members of my family. They were nasty things (just based on her opinions) and I was shocked. I don't know why she said these things, it came out of some bad feeling somewhere. Since then we've lost touch, (mainly as I was too upset to return her calls). I do still miss her sometimes, but it really upset me to hear her insulting other people who are close to me, and I'd be worried that she'd do it again.

Well thanks for showing interest in this. Both of us have accepted of what lies ahead and going on knowing that. We don't know what future holds but we are living in the present and promised each other that we wont think about future. We won't loose these moments we are living by thinking what's going to happen to us. We will accept what's written next. But for now we will live it about what we feel. And for your story, you can understand how i went through because its very painful when you are hurt by your best friend and at the same time you don't realize you love her. Well everything went fine for me. And wish me luck for future. Thanks again.

To me losing a best mate felt like someone had taken a short dagger, heated it untill it was white hot and rammed it straight into my confidence, emotional stability, and trust in my remaining friends all at the same time. Advice: Get a paralelle best friend, I allways keep now two so that if one ges nuts and I need support I have the other for advice etc.

Thanks for sharing. :) I have not chosen her as my best. She became one. And also i have 2 best friends. But none of them are replaceable. They have their values to me. Thanks for the advice anyway.
