I know that times are tough, but even when things are really hard do you feel that everything will work out in the future. I know we can't see the future but I have been through some hard times before and now that I can look back I can see that those were the times I grew the most as a person. How about you?

I believe there are no accidents, luck, or happenstance. Its all part of the Grand Design. We have many choices in our lives, we even get to choose our Parents, before each Incarnation. From what I've seen of my past lives, this current one is much better than any that came before. Of course each consecutive life is made easier by the evolution of electronic aids to longer lives, and easier living. Advances in medicine also contribute. Take my word for it we have come a Long, Long way in the Last 200 years. It's almost scary to look back and see where Humanity was at that time, but with each incarnation life becomes better, as we continue to experience, and grow with God.

Not necessarily happier, but life is so much easier! Imagine living on a farm with a Family of little kids, and having to carry water from a frozen creek and heating it on a wood stove to wash the diapers by hand! I can actually remember my mom doing that when I was a little Kid.

I have no argument with reincarnation. I just wonder with all the advancements we have are we happier, more spiritual, more content?

Things did not go easy in my life.I had to pass many barriers. My life is going some way.You can say I'm an average person. No speciality I could gain.I'm floating in a boat where no rudder.I don't know the destination.

I think this happens to most of us. The best thing I can tell you to do is write a list of things to do and things not to do. I have written many such lists and I have torn up many such lists and begun over again. Don't worry about that , It's your list and you are in charge. Sooner or later you will start to get an idea of what is important to you and what isn't. Then you can set some goals. Blessings

We grow stronger and we learn priceless lessons. It's so hard sometimes that you think it will never end.Blaming the state, the president, the banks, the whole world makes no sense. Now it's time to reveal our hidden potential. And of course it will work out for the best!

I am a firm believer that there is a reason for everything . Maybe the reason for hard times is to teach us the value of family , or the value of money . Maybe hard times will draw famlies closer together. Maybe people will start thinking they can live just as happy in a $40.000 home as they can in one that cost $400,000 . They may see that less is more. That by downsizing , they can afford to stay home more with their kids . Maybe they will care more for people and family then about things . Since living in Mexico one thing I've learned is that . Your house is just where you live, it's not who you are .

Do things always work out for the best? I think that sometimes they do. During a difficult time it's hard to think that what your dealing with might actually lead to a better situation for you. You get so wrapped up in just getting through the tough time. But in the end you can end up in a better place. I also think that as human beings we have a remarkable ability to adapt and make the best out of our situations. but that is entirely up to an individual. It's the whole "taking lemons and making lemonade" philosophy. The capability to endure and survive is within all of us.

I always take the hard times as just another opportunity to draw closer to God. That may not apply to everyone, but for me, that is where I find my strength. I know God will take care of me through whatever will come. And my husband and I struggle a lot financially but we don't worry (or I try not to!) because we know God provides. Without the Christian stand-point, I do also agree that hard times build character and make people stronger. How could you know what happiness truly was if you didn't know what it was like to struggle?

I believe, if you were to look back at any of the tough times in your life that you have dealt with so far- you will realise that they make you a stronger person. This is not to say that you have to go through rough times to be strong. But yes eventually things do fall in place. The best for you will happen to you.

I believe you are never given more than you can handle but there are sometimes in my life I think ENOUGH ALREADY. At the times that have been the toughest in my life I have found that I have strength inside me that I never knew I had and things always work out one way or another. It may not be the way you wanted exactly but they always work out

Well, I hear a lot about this, but I am not sure about it. Make some difficulities can make us grow up and be very responsible. I haven't been through hardships in life and I guess I need that. Sometimes I don't think I can do hard times. I tell myself to think positive and be confident that everything's going to be better in the future. Sorry I have be back to work, lol.

Life's never easy. It has it's up and down. Infact, i going through some tough times right now, but i hope that everything happen's for the greater good and if does not, then only you know what to do. I personally am not sure if god is there or not, but i believe a person control's his life his own way. If there are tough times, you can either find a solution for it or you can sit and grim about it. Life's hard work!!

Hi savypat! I've had some really tough times and although at the moment I didn't think them to be a benefit, I know that it has made me the person I am. That's not to say I think these times were any better..lol..and sometimes when I think of them they make me sad but I do know they define who and why I am who I am.

It's true, rough times force us to adapt and change. If life was easy, it sure would be boring, wouldn't it? I am a firm believer of the old adage "everything happens for a reason". I cringe when I think about my relationship which I considered long term over 20 years ago, and I am sooooo happy I'm not in it today. Now I have my own family and home.

it is an old saying that every thing thhat happens with us is for a reason and for our own good. most of the times when we are in trouble we curse our fate. but later when we are out of that phase we realise that we have learnt a big lesson from it. as child when my parents used to choose my friends never liked it but now i realise that it was a good thing for me or else i could have fallen into wrong company. things that happen, happen for our good.

Hi savypat, I agree with you, the rough times seem to be the times we grow the most. I think that things will work out for the best, though it may never return to the way it was five years ago because we have outgrown that. I have faith that that eventually things will be much better. Blessings.

Looking back on my life I can see there are some decisions I made that I wouldn't have made if I knew then what I know now. But on the whole, despite the hard times and heartbreaks and headaches, there is really very little that I would change. I've become the person I am today because of the choices I've made, and frankly, as I don't want to break the mirror when I see myself in it, I consider that things have worked out pretty well. Of course, I could be wrong........I often am! LOL Time will tell.

I mostly do although I believe they are more likely to work out with a little bit of help. ie kind of like the expression (which I am mis-quoting) that the Lord helps people who help themselves. You're more likely to win the lotto if you buy a ticket, find a job if you're looking for one, find a mate if you have a positive attitude, etc.

You've got this right. It's certainly dumb to complain about life if you don't live it.
