Here in my country, the number of caregiver students are increasing. Even professionals like accountants, doctors, dentists, nurses, teachers, and others shifted to caregiving field and believe that this will be the key for success. I myself are one of them. It seems easy, for it will only take six months to finish the course but the work itself will not be easy anymore. I haven't work yet but the training that I've learned deals with the life threatening most of the time. I wanted to have a better life and the only thing I know is to left my country and my family for awhile. What do you think would be the advantages and disadvantages

Well I think if your heart is not into it and you're just there for the money better leave that move. But if you will pursue it then you should put your heart and dedication into it so that when you finally jump into it in real life then you enjoy the job while doing it. I firmly believe that the choice we make would make not only our lives better but happy as well.

When I had my first job as Junior Accountant in a company. I thought I would get older with the position. But I don't enjoyed it. With all the paper works and overtime suffering that I've experienced. I will not going to get older on that position. I can't love the job. But when I learned the fundamentals of caregiving and how am I going to take good care of a person. It inspired me to go on with my chosen career. I will love that career.

That should be the right attitude for you to be able to go on with that career. The only thing that you should not be thinking about is being negative about how things will go on with your current career.

Hello jralivio! I feel that you want to give the best to your family and the circumstances leaves you no choice but to seek employment elsewhere far from your family and loved ones. I wish that you will find the time spent apart from your family be less of a burden and to be able to enjoy the career change, it seems that you have already embraced the duty of caring for others' need. It maybe that you found your true calling and this will give you the sense of accomplishment that you will need, to see that the time spent far from your family was time well spent indeed, in the aid of others as well as to secure your family's future. Wish you the best of luck!

Hi jralivio511, good day to you. Well i also notice that a great number of students shift there course in caregiving fields, because they know that it will be the key for them to be success in life and to have more money. Being a caregiver is very hard because you give care to someone that you are not related even in relatives, but the only good thing in caregivers is even the work is hard and not easy, you can still earn a lot of money, which you can use for your family in there everyday needs, like the food, clothes, and shelter. Most of the caregivers are having a homesick with there family because they go to other country just to earn money, that causes for a caregiver, don't even see her love ones. I hope here in our country, there will be a good job so no more Filipino will go to other country and no more homesick. I hope that this coming 2010 election, our economy will change and became one of the top rising country here in this Planet. If the government will stop the corruption here in our country. We will no longer feel the decreasing rate of our economy. Well that's all my response to your forum topic discussion entitled "caregivers: what are the advantages and disadvanges". I am really hoping jralivio511 that i give a good and informative response in my opinions. Happy posting here and happy earning. Good luck to our earning career here in this site. . . Mabuhay! =)

Yes, you right. I don't think that there's a chance that the Philippines will be on top. With all the corruption and crimes here, it's impossible. Mabuhay Kabayan...
