do you have a ring preferrence when you get married or when you are going to get married? or you just want to wear any ring as long as you're marrying the man you love...

My husband picked out my engagement ring and surprised me with it so, when he mentioned that he wanted to find the perfect matching wedding bands later on when we started talking about setting a date, I agreed. He had lost his first wife of 32 years to cancer and, because they had married young and had little money, she wore a simple wedding band and never had an engagement ring. This time he wanted to do it right...and he did!

Mine has to be white gold only because I'm allergic to yellow gold. as far as how big the diamonds are or how many or how expensive it is....all that doesn't bother me. I believe women who expect a $5000+ ring are superficial because they think small diamonds means the guy doesn't love you as much. I like my rings to be simple. Big diamonds are nice, but they also get stolen. lol

My husband and I had a similar conversation when we started looking at rings, His theroy was that he is the one asking me to marry him, so he gets to pick the ring, and my theroy was that I have to wear the ring for the rest of my life, so I should get to pick something I like. We compromised and he picked out the stone he liked, and I picked out the setting. Little did he know I would of wore anything, it wasnt about the look of the ring, it was about the symbol the ring stood for..
