I can't help myself, whenever I see a project that I think would be fun or beautiful when finished, I have to buy it. I have finished many of the projects, but I have many more in my closet just waiting to see the light of day. I also have to confess that I don't always finish a project once I start it. I always come back to finish at some point, but invariably I will see another one that I just have to do and will put the other one away. I always keep all the supplies with each project so I haven't run into the problem of losing part of my kit. I also crochet baby blankets and a couple of young ladies from church are expecting the stork this year so I have a couple blankets going at this time also. Is there ever enough time?

i used to cross stitch a ton but last fall, while crocheting, i pulled a muscle in my wrist and because i type pretty much every day (for work at home and outside of the house) it tends to agrivate my wrist. i just find it really hard to grasp a tiny needle with that hand (my right). i like to crochet too and i found a crochet hook at walmart (here in canada) that has a bigger base (because it has a light in it of all things!) but it is not as small to hold on to. right now, i am pretty much into making my own cards and gift tags.

cher, I am so sorry to hear that you injured yourself. Hopefully it will heal and you can get back to doing what you love. I will have to look for a crochet hook with a light. That sounds really interesting and helpful.

I love to cross stitch as well, especially counted cross stitch. It is very tedious and time consuming though. I am like you, I never finish what I start. I see another one I want to do, and I will start on it. O have finished some things that I have started but not all. The counted cross stitch pictures I like the best are the Thomas Kincaide pictures. They are absolutely beautiful. I have a Thomas Kincaide painting hanging on my wall, as that is how much I really like his work. I do the lighthouses, and the cottages mostly, but I basically like all his pictures. Well, have a good day, and happy mylotting.

I love Thomas Kincaide pictures too. Counted cross stitch is the only kind I buy now. I have a couple cross stitch pictures to do of his stuff. I haven't started them yet though. LOL I am hopelessly fond of all this stuff. Thank you so much for sharing this with me.

I love cross stitch too. I do the counted cross stich pictures. My favorite ones are the ones of Thomas Kincaide's paintings. I like the cottage ones and also the lighthouses. I too, will start something, then decide to do a picture, then when I see a different picture that I like, I will put the other one away and start the new one. So consequently, I really have never finished anything that I have started. I have lots in my closet just sitting there waiting to be done. I will get them done eventually. I just have so many started at once, that I will have to eventually start working on them again. Take care, and happy mylotting.

I understand how you feel! I always start them, but never finish them! Once I did, though, because I finally buckled down and finished it. Of course, it wa a Harry Potter one. That is one of my favorite subjects, although I think that I'm begining to think that I'm outgrowing him!! So sad. I guess I'll have to figure out a new book hero.
