Do you have pet names for your loved ones?

I was wondering what are the most common names that people call their significant other. I call my hubby Honey most of the time and at other times I call him Babe. Do you have pet names for your sweetie? Also, do you call your children something besides their name. I call my oldest son, Bubba and the youngest is Sonner. I don't know where the Sonner name came from, but it stuck. (I am not talking about when you are mad at them)

My fiancee and I have had crazy "pet names" for each other since the beginning of our relationship. I don't remember exactly when I started giving my fiancee his nickname, but I do know how it came about. I am a HUGE fan of the National Lampoon movies. One of my all time favorite is National Lampoon's Christmas vacation. Well the wife on that story calls her husband "Sparky." I always loved that as a nickname, and so early on into our relationship - I felt my fiancee was the one and I knew he deserved that nickname. I seriously think I call him Sparky more than I do by his first name. My nickname came from a horrible kitchen accident. haha Early on in our relationship I decided to cook saurkraut and hot dogs at my fiancee's apartment. We ran to Walmart (which was right up the street) because we needed a few ingredients for dinner. We figured the saurkraut would be fine on low - but when we got home the kitchen was filled with smoke! Thank goodness everything was ok, the saurkraut just ran out of water! lol But from that day on my fiancee has called me Smokey. At first I didn't like the name because I thought it sounded like something you call a trucker! haha But it has grown on me.

I like the pet names. Sparky is definitely fitting for the spark in your life. And Smokey is cute too. My hubby was a survival instructor in the Air Force and his students called him Smokey the Bear.

Hello JABeau59! I actually have a pet which I named "aisteve" It's the combination of my name and my husband's name. My husband doesn't know about it but I named him when my husband and I were not married yet.

Yes I do call all the ones I love the most with some or the other pet name I like calling. I call my wife jaanu. I call my nephew bubbly and I am called as bunty by my parents and everyone in relatives. It sounds funny now when everyone calls me bunty when we meet somewhere out but people say we love to call you bunty and not by your name. I will call my child dolly, cutie, sweety pie and all. I love calling my dear ones with a pet name.

Yeah!! i do have pet names for my love ones. It seems when i was just 4 or 5 years old, i started calling my elder sister as Adele which is not at all her real name or any name for that matter. But i just started to call her that and now she is stuck with it. I call my bf as Chum-chum and my friend Bek.

I call anyone around me that I love girl, even though this does seem quite rude. Another thing I do is add bee to the end of their name. For example: Hayleybee.
