What do you eat when you're extremely hungry but short on time?

I have been super-hungry all day! I keep eating in between classes and work, but it seems like no matter what I eat I'm hungry again in half an hour. Does this ever happen to you, and what do you do about it?

Sure it happens to me and probably all of us from time to time. My favorite healthy snack is a cup of yogurt. Cold from the fridge or frozen from the freezer. If you freeze them it takes longer to eat and your stomach is more satisfied that way. Strawberry or black cherry are my favs. Yummmmmm ‹(°¿°)›

I've tried freezing cups of yogurt before, but it always turns out so rock-hard that I can't even get my spoon into it. Is there a secret to getting it frozen but soft enough to still be edible?

Open it and put it in your microwave on defrost or regular heat for a few seconds. You still want it to be fairly hard so it takes a while to eat. Play with the temp and time until you get the yogurt somewhat harder than a smoothie. The idea is to make yourself eat it slower so your stomach feels full. ‹(°¿°)›

always bring biscuits with you, that's the best option. i always have that in my bag, at work when we have long time meeting ofcourse we really get so hungry but there's no chance to go out and eat for a while, so biscuits really help a lot.

What type of biscuits do you mean? When I think of biscuits I think of fluffy bread-like biscuits, but I know that people in other countries call biscuits what I would refer to as cookies. I'm not sure where you're from, so I don't know what kind of "biscuits" you mean.

When I'm super hungry I eat things that don't even taste good like rice cakes, whole grain bread, and nutritional bars. Because when I'm hungry anything satisfies me, which is a bonus for maintaining proper weight. But if I don't plan ahead I end up swinging by a fast food joint and eating that junk instead. Bad move!

Yeah, I don't tend to crave fast food very often but on days like today it's really tempting to just pull up to Burger King and clog my arteries. But I'm trying to be careful of what I eat right now, because I know I'm under stress and my husband is sick. I know that if I eat badly, I'm more likely to get sick too and I don't need that right now!

You might be right. I just started a new job and I had midterm exams this week at school, so it might be that mental stress is making me hungry.

If I am short on time I will grab an orange or banana and something to drink.

I told my husband to pick up bananas from work. :-) They are a great on-the-go food with a lot of nutrients.

Sometimes I have days like that too. They suck. lol I hate when I constantly feel hungry and can't seem to satisfy that hunger. My best advice is to eat snacks high in protein. I tend to keep snacks like string cheese, rice cakes with peanut butter, and hard boiled eggs with me.

I take a boiled egg with me for lunch almost every day, but I ran out a couple of days ago and haven't had time to make more. Maybe that's why I'm so hungry today- my stomach wants its daily egg.
