Best University in UK for Electronics?

Hi friends,
One of my friends(from India) wants to pursue to Masters Course in subjects related to Electronics/Computers in UK.What do you think is best university to study.Well,Please suggest universities other than Cambridge,Oxford.Please suggest the scope of scholarship/earning possibilities,if you know or have someone studying there.Thanks in advance very much for your suggestions.They are going to be very valuable.

Hi,
I have a friend who did his engineering from scotland. Glasglow university is the name i guess, IAm not sure. He had fun studying there. There are a lot of good universities in UK. What i can recommened is tell yr friend to give IELTS exams which is a must for studying in UK which is held in British council and from there u will get a whole list of universities. They are very helpful.
Well iam not trying to be mean here but the biggest problem in Uk is Racism and my friend who was in Scotland wasnt spared as well. They think Indians, pakistanis and the srilankans are all same and the feeling that they are superior than us is still there.
Well if yr friend is going to do part time job then he / she shd be prepared to do odd jobs. My friend worked in 2 places, one was as a waiter and the other was some packing job.

I understand Glasgow is one of the better universities there,especially for Indians.Hope your friend is successfully placed somewhere after finishing the course.I would suggest your recommendation to my friend.But its sorry to know that rascism.Is it rampant even in campus,where most of the time is spent?

Hi,
Yea hopefully he is doing well some where. I have lost touch with him so i dont what he is doing at the moment.
Well as i wrote earliar he was working at 2 places. His boss there was rude to him and to the people of Asia, and he said its quite common there.
Another thing i know he had to share his room with 5 other students in which 2 were pakistanis and the other two were from brazil. So yr friend have to adjust a lot of things if he/ she get similar arrangements.
Look every person has differant views, differant experiances. So i hope the racism inside the campus must have been very low coamparing to outside. The thing which appealed me was he was helped a lot of by the Pakistani people settled there.

Well..Except for the politician on either side and certain groups of people,there is really not much hatred among us neighbours.When we are outside in places like US or UK,I came across lot of stories about we help each other.Thats really good to know.Thanks for the share tutul.

Imperial College, London. The best university for electrical and electronics.
University of Southampton. 2nd best university for electrical and electronics.
By the way Oxford is a rubbish university for this course.
